After such a fantastic response to our first workshop, I'm excited to announce TWO new dates for Braids & Beers!

This relaxed, hands-on workshop is designed to help dads, grandads, step-dads, guardians and carers build confidence styling their child's hair.

We are a week and a half out from the Gala Day and our prep is going well, come join us on the day in our Greek inspired tavern, where we will have An ABBA Dream performing all the hits from Mama Mia 🎉

Steph the hotdog chef will be back stationed outside the pub from 12pm to keep all your stomachs lined. 🌭

Ben 2 Ben and Liam Doc will take over at night 🙌,
As its the Gala Day, which is already a mad busy day and night, we will be closing at our normal time of 1am and won't be staying open for the football, so ensure you get your carry-outs and plans made for afters to watch the game 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ⚽🏆🍻.

If you're coming on the float please be at the pub for 10am dressed in your best Abba get up 🪩🕺.

Wow what a month May has been, we wrapped the month with the open mic on Friday, another brilliant turn out with the most acts we've seen performing yet, big thanks to Mark Sim for hosting and to everyone who turned up on the night.
👉Saturday we had Cariad Beauty in the lounge with Braids & Beers, this was a great workshop supporting the Dads with styling their daughters hair whilst enjoying a few beers, great event, such professional set up.
Saturday night we hosted the lovely Mia's 18th in the lounge and snug, the bar was also very busy, great atmosphere and the tunes were banging👌
👉 Sunday the lounge was packed out for Sommer's baby shower, the set up was class, well done to Molly and Artistic Balloon Decor for transforming the lounge👌

We are doing a sip and paint on Saturday July 25th at 4pm
Tickets are a £5 which includes all paint supplies and a free wine glass that you will paint with your own unique design ready to take home or fill with wine at the bar 🤣.

We will then have Ewan Shaw entertaining you into the night if you stay on after.

What a day yesterday—welcome to the madhouse right enough! We had our first Boozébrunch of the Summer rocking the lounge, and the title decider taking over the bar and snug. From the second the doors opened, the atmosphere was in full party mode.
There’s no denying the history ingrained in these walls; we will always be known as the Celtic pub, and days like yesterday are a massive part of that. But while that’s our heritage, our present is all about being a proper local for everyone to enjoy. We’re very very lucky to have a brilliant mix of regulars and friends who support different teams and support our pub and it was fantastic to see some of them in yesterday soaking up the atmosphere, and just enjoying the madness.

Fair play to Hearts, too—they’ve had some season. It’s been a tense few weeks, but these last few games have been incredibly exciting.
A massive thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a brilliant day. A massive shout out to my bar team—you guys are the absolute best, and I couldn’t do it without you! 🍻
Also thanks to the team at Fauldhouse Miners who helped us out with additional stock when we started to run out.

What a brilliant day, hopefully see some of you later for a curer!
