The pub in South Stoke village near Bath was closed and left empty four years ago; now the owner has agreed to sell; our community-based company has exchanged contracts with the owner with completion due in September 2016, subject to a successful fundraising campaign; we need to raise £525,000 to buy the pub and then some more for refurbishment and plan to raise the money through selling shares to the people of South Stoke, Bath and beyond.

Expect adventure, culture, challenge, breathtaking scenery and plenty of fascinating tales from the Himalayas — all enjoyed in the relaxed surroundings of your local pub.

Our Monthly Monday Evening Talks bring interesting guest speakers to The Packhorse, sharing unique experiences and perspectives in a friendly, informal setting.

A huge thank you to everyone who takes the time to share their experiences with us. Recieving your feedback helps us keep The Packhorse a wonderful place to gather with family and friends.

We’ll be serving our Sunday menu from 12pm–4pm, with roasts and plenty of favourites to enjoy together.
And with Father’s Day next Sunday, it’s a lovely opportunity to spend some quality time with Dad over a great meal.
