Every second Tuesday, Bath locals Lloyd and Art come down to run a classic blues night in the heart of the city.

Join the monthly Bath Skiffle session to make some noise and celebrate live music. Held upstairs, they focus on old acoustic American folk, rock'n'roll and songs from the British Skiffle boom.

Led by some of the finest local jazz musicians, enjoy some of the best music Bath has to offer every Wednesday

Fight the Sunday ennui with a Sunday Session at The Grapes.

From 4pm every week, we host a local band to play out the rest of the weekend whilst you enjoy a pint and digest your roast dinner.

HELP — WE NEED A HOUSEKEEPER!

And we have some very big shoes to fill.

After four years of looking after The Grapes and our B&B absolutely beautifully, our lovely Fox is leaving us.
She's not going far — she and her boyfriend, who owns Alfred's, are taking on another shop on Walcot Street, which is brilliant news for them.

So: we need a new Housekeeper, and we need someone fairly quickly.

It's around 27 hours a week, generally spread over six mornings, at £13.25 an hour. It's very much a daytime job — usually finished by around 2pm, rarely later than 3pm — and we're also very happy to offer contracted hours if someone would prefer that.

This isn't just cleaning a pub. Our Housekeeper looks after the whole building: our B&B bedrooms and changeovers, the Living Room and shared spaces, the pub itself, our in-house laundry and generally keeping an eye on a very old, very characterful building and making sure it's properly cared for.

We're looking for someone organised, reliable, observant and fastidious who takes pride in looking after a place and is happy working independently.

Most importantly, we'd love someone to start as soon as possible, so they can spend some time working alongside Fox and learning the ropes before she goes.

Pococks Lodgings has hosted guests in our Elizabethan townhouse since the 17th century. On the doorstep is the Thermae Spa & we're a minute's walk from the Roman Baths, shops & restaurants.
