📣 WE’RE HIRING – ASSISTANT MANAGER

The Wheatsheaf Hotel in Baslow is looking for a friendly, confident and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team.

Hours: 40–45 hours per week
Pay: £14.00–£14.50 per hour, depending on experience
Flexibility: We can be flexible for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the General Managers with the day-to-day running of the pub and hotel
• Leading, motivating and supporting the team
• Managing hotel check-ins and check-outs
• Looking after hotel guests throughout their stay
• Handling reservations and responding to guest enquiries
• Supervising shifts and ensuring the business runs smoothly
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Assisting with team training and development
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation
• Supporting stock control, cash handling and administration
• Helping to achieve sales targets and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest

We’re looking for someone reliable, approachable and organised, with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Previous management or supervisory experience within hospitality would be an advantage.

We are absolutely gutted to announce that, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to cancel our planned Bank Holiday community event.

We are incredibly sorry for any disappointment this may cause. The Wheatsheaf will still be open as usual throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, with a FREE children’s bouncy castle available each day for families to enjoy!

We remain committed to bringing our community together and will be organising more events in the future. Unfortunately, this particular event is simply unable to go ahead.
