Barton's Mill Pub and Dining Bartons Mill is a beautifully restored historic mill in Old Basing, offering a truly unique riverside pub experience.

Surrounded by nature, with its own river and original water wheel features, the pub combines rustic English charm with modern comfort. Inside you’ll find wooden floors, exposed beams, cosy log fires in winter, and relaxed spaces for dining or enjoying a drink. Outside, Bartons Mill boasts large grassy riverside beer gardens, plus covered, heated seating for year-round al fresco dining. The Millstone Restaurant sits alongside the pub with a separate entrance, making it ideal for weddings and private events. The site also offers 12 comfortable, dog-friendly en-suite bedrooms, perfect for a peaceful countryside stay.

We know, we know… it's only October, but we've already got Christmas on our minds, and we've got SO much planned for you this festive season!

From Breakfast with Santa and festive workshops to Musical Bingo, Christmas parties and plenty of festive fun, there's something for everyone at Bartons Mill this Christmas!

Our Christmas What's On calendar is here, and we're still busy planning even more exciting events to add to the festivities!

Some events are already available to book, while others will be going live very soon, so keep your eyes peeled on our social media for announcements.

🎄 A little heads up! Our Christmas Wreath Workshop is already nearly fully booked, so if you've had your eye on that one, don't leave it too late! So grab your diaries, save those dates and start getting into the Christmas spirit!

Christmas is coming to Bartons Mill, and so is our Festive Afternoon Tea!

From 25th November, join us for a cosy afternoon filled with festive favourites, including turkey, stuffing & cranberry ciabatta, pigs in blankets, Brie & Henry’s IPA relish toasties, warm fruit scones, cranberry & orange loaf cake, stollen bites and more.

Perfect for a Christmas catch up with friends, a festive date, or simply an excuse to enjoy a little treat during the most wonderful time of the year.

£42 for two people

Available from 25th November until 23rd December
Served between 2pm and 5pm
Advance booking required

Spaces will be limited and our Festive Afternoon Tea must be booked in advance, so make sure to reserve your table early.
