SAVE THE DATES!!

Due to our previous and successful De-Stash Day we will be hosting another on the 29th of August and again in September. We also have Ermine Street Car Club's Classic Car Show on Sunday the 30th of August whilst inside on the same day the Visitor Centre will be holding our Mini Pop up Shops. We look forward to welcoming you, and as always Humber Hideaway Cafe will be open and ready to serve you up some home made hot or cold food and refreshments.

We're not saying it's been hot... but even the teabags are asking for an ice bath! 🥵☀️

On a serious note, while everyone's melting, our brilliant team are still grafting away with a smile, keeping the coffees flowing, the cakes stocked and the bacon sizzling.

If you're popping in, we'd really appreciate a little patience and kindness. A smile and a "thank you" cost nothing, but they can make all the difference to someone working hard in this heat.
To our amazing staff – you're absolute stars, and we couldn't do it without you. 🌟
Now then... who's joining us for an iced coffee, a cold drink, or even a cuppa? (Because let's be honest, us Brits will still drink tea whatever the weather! 😉☕)

🥵 Is it just us, or has the sun mistaken the UK for Spain? ☀️😂

A massive THANK YOU to all of our wonderful customers who have braved the heat to come and see us. Whether you've stopped by for an iced coffee, a can of pop, a slice of cake (because calories don't count in a heatwave... right? 😅), or just to escape the sunshine for a bit, we appreciate every single one of you.

We've been sweating, the coffee machine's been sweating, and we're pretty sure even the teabags have been sweating! 🫠

Your support means the world to our little café, and seeing so many familiar faces makes even the hottest days a little brighter.

Keep drinking plenty of water, treat yourself to something cold, and remember... if you see someone cooking or making a cup of tea in this weather, check they're okay! 😂☕

We made it to the weekend... and somehow managed not to completely melt! ☀️🥵
A huge thank you to all our amazing customers who popped in this week. You've kept us busy, kept us smiling, and most importantly, stopped us from climbing into the freezers! 🧊😂
With the sunshine sticking around, we'll be open 10:00am – 3:45pm serving up all your favourite refreshments and tasty food.
If you're out enjoying the sunshine, pop in, say hi, cool off, and let us do the hard work. We can't promise the weather will behave, but we can promise a warm welcome (and much colder drinks! 😉☕🥤)

Heatwave Update from The Humber Hideaway ☀️🥵
Earlier today, I was fully prepared to write a post begging everyone to be patient and kind while we all slowly melted into puddles...
But honestly? Every single person who walked through our doors today has been absolutely lovely. Friendly, understanding, supportive – basically the dream customers. So instead of a plea, this is a massive THANK YOU! ❤️

Unfortunately, the weather forecast has decided we've not suffered enough, and is set to get even hotter. While you're enjoying an iced coffee, a cold drink, or a bite to eat, please spare a thought for the team working behind the scenes, trying to keep everything running smoothly without spontaneously combusting.
A special shout-out goes to our team, who are surviving this heatwave fuelled almost entirely by iced coffees, frozen drinks and sheer stubbornness. We suspect at least one of them may now be 80% ice.
Thank you for being the kind of customers who make the busiest (and sweatiest) days so much easier. We genuinely appreciate every single one of you. 🫶

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and if you see a member of staff hugging the freezer, mind your business. 😅❄️
