An Announcement.
We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Barton Town Council. We have now signed an agreement to exclusively run the bar at The Assembly Rooms on Queens Street.
This means that we can provide a wide range of drinks, with The George Inn service and hospitality that you know us for, but in a large, dedicated events space. Something that we've been missing here on George Street but we think this ticks the box!
The town council have spent the past couple of years updating some décor, installing new windows, brand new lift & lighting along with recent maintenance works to the roof.
We will also be adding our own private investment into the bar area to help improve the building and to give a good quality, exclusive event space in here in the town centre.
The Assembly rooms opened in 1843 as a Temperance Hall (ironically). In its 180 year history its been used for public meetings, county court meetings, public exhibitions, a night club along with many weddings, christenings & family gatherings along the way!
We're excited to get started and have our first booking this weekend. We're looking forward to seeing the event spaced used more and ask that you consider the Assembly Rooms going forward. Bookings are made via the council and can be done so with or without the bar.
