I am looking for a sous chef to join me at Goose on the Loose.
Must have experience in being responsible for junior chef's training development.
Fresh food site.
Everything created in house so microwave chef's need not apply.

The salary can be negotiable we are offering up to £36k a year plus service charge. 48 hour contract.

For those who have dined with me before know the quality and standard I set whilst being by myself in Jack’s kitchen, well now I have a brigade of chef's behind me so expect even greater things.

💔A Heartfelt Thank You from Jack’s💔

It’s the post no business wants to write…. It’s with deep regret that we announce Jack’s Restaurant Bar will be closing its doors for the final time at the end of tonight, Friday 18th April.

This has not been an easy decision, but unfortunately, the business is no longer viable to take forward. Those who’ve followed us from the beginning will see our journey has been hard.

We want to say a huge thank you to every single one of our guests who has supported us – whether you joined us for a meal, an event, a quiet drink, or a celebration. Your warmth, loyalty, and encouragement have meant the world to us.

To our team – thank you for your hard work, creativity, and heart.

A little update from Team Jack’s ☀️

We absolutely love seeing groups of friends and family coming together to celebrate with us, but due to the logistical challenges of our small space, we’ve made the tough decision to no longer accept table bookings of over 8 people. We hope you understand our decision. 🙏🏾

Our cosy small set-up means large tables can unintentionally dominate the atmosphere, and we’ve had some recent feedback from other guests who found it a little overwhelming due to the close proximity. We want everyone to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable experience when dining with us, whether you’re here for date night, dinner with friends, Sunday Roast or even a midweek treat.

We really appreciate your understanding and continued support as we try to make Jack’s the best it can be for all our lovely diners.

For all of you hoping to come to Steak Night on Wednesday… we’re sorry to say we discovered a pipe that has been leaking for the past 12 hours and are now currently in the water-vacuum, clear out and dry-up stage 🥹.
We’re devastated as we really looking forward to seeing you all this week for your weekly steak-fix as well as our growing-famous tapas menu. 🇪🇸
For the foreseeable future can we all please ask you to CALL to BOOK your seats this week so that helps us plan a bit better and lighten our load of work, it would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏾 thank you as always for your support during this time; we hope to be back to business by Thursday so please give us a call to book in then!
