🌿💛 GARDEN UPDATE – NOT QUITE TO PLAN, BUT PROGRESS ALL THE SAME! 💛🌿

Yesterday's garden day didn't quite go as planned... unfortunately, we couldn't get the lawn mower started! 😅

So, with Plan A out of action, it was a case of picking up the paint brushes and getting to work on the fencing instead. 🎨🖌️

A huge thank you to Mike and Andrea for giving up their time and helping with the painting. Your hard work is very much appreciated! 🙌

We were also able to make a very special addition to the garden. 💛

Many of you will remember the memorial bench dedicated to our much-loved former stewardess, Karen. Sadly, the original bench had reached the point where it was beyond repair, so it has now been replaced with a beautiful new bench, complete with the original plaque.

A massive thank you to Totty and Dave for putting it together. 👏

Those who knew Karen will know just how much the Club meant to her, and equally how much she meant to all of us. From her warm welcome to her legendary Sunday dinners, Karen played a huge part in the life of the Cons and is remembered very fondly by so many. 💛

We felt it was only right that Karen continued to have her special place in the garden.

I had the pleasure of showing the new bench to Ossie today, and thankfully he was delighted with it. I have to admit, seeing him sitting on the bench was quite an emotional moment.

The garden is slowly becoming something really special, and we're looking forward to continuing the work over the coming weeks.

Thank you again to everyone who has helped so far. We couldn't do it without you. 🌿🍻💛

Supporting the next generation of musicians is something we're passionate about, and we hope you'll come along and show these talented young bands the same amazing support you've shown our other performers.

🎯💛 SUPPORTING A GREAT CAUSE IN OUR COMMUNITY 💛🎯

At the Cons, we want to do more than just put on great events. We also want to support the charities that support the people in our community.

One charity that is particularly close to the hearts of many of our members and customers is Marie Curie. Many of us have seen first-hand the incredible care, support, and compassion they provide to patients and families during some of life's most difficult times.

That's why we're proud to be hosting a:

🎯 DARTS MARATHON IN AID OF MARIE CURIE 🎯
