📚 A very special evening with Ann Cleeves

We were delighted to welcome acclaimed local author Ann Cleeves to the Royal & Fortescue for a special pre-release event celebrating her latest novel, The Dying Light.

The sold-out evening had a fitting murder mystery theme, before guests received their own signed pre-release copy of the new book.

Even better, proceeds from the evening went to support The Woodyard UK, making a fantastic occasion even more worthwhile.

A huge thank you to Ann for joining us and allowing us to host such a special event, and to everyone who came along and made the evening such a success. 📚🔎

The Fair Is Open! 🎡

Following the annual Fair Proclamation carried out by the Town Clerk in front of the hotel, the fair is officially open!

We always enjoy watching this tradition unfold right on the doorstep of our historic building, and seeing the town come alive for a fun-filled week of local events, with the fair, carnival and plenty more to enjoy! 🎪🎠
