Due to having had another power cut just before midnight that didn't come back on until 3.15am only to go back off again at 6.30am and is still off, unfortunately we are closed today 😞 I now have the horrible job of phoning the 315 customers already booked to cancel their reservations. So sorry for the inconvenience but it is obviously beyond our control and very frustrating for us and the staff!

Just so you are all aware our phones are also down - thank goodness I have a fully charged mobile ready for all the phone calls I'm about to make!

So it doesn't save tonight but it does mean that we can finish our food prep and get all the meats in ahead of tomorrow's carvery 😮‍💨

***POWER CUT***

Unfortunately for the second day running the village has a power cut 😞 It has now been off for an hour and a half and Western Power are saying that they don't know when it will be back on so we are having to close tonight. So sorry for any inconvenience.

The power is back on and chefs are busy catching up with everything they couldn't do this morning ready for tonight! We will be opening later for drinks from 3pm and serving food from 5.30pm 😃

***POWER CUT***

We have a power cut which is due to be back on by 11am ( hopefully!) so we are obviously closed for breakfast and will also be closed for lunch due to lack of prep and not wanting any staff to be on the road in this awful weather!

We will update you as the day progresses. We don't have any phones at the monent but we can be contacted on here!

***Christmas Bingo***

All of our dates are fully booked except for a a table of 2 on Thursday 26th November.
We have been absolutely inundated with phonecalls and voicemails all day and unfortunately there are a lot of people that haven't been successful. We will be ringing everyone to inform them but we have just run out of time today - if we haven’t called you back yet it does mean that unfortunately you haven't got a place this time 😞
As someone once said "it's easier to get Glastonbury tickets!"

We had a facebook glitch yesterday which caused me to announce an incorrect winner (and I quickly deleted the post but we are obviously still giving that person 2 take away carveries)

We sold 343 carveries yesterday. Someone actually got it spot on but they hadn't shared the post so they forfeited the prize. We then had 2 guesses that were 1 away but one of those also hadn't shared which leaves us with one winner🥇

XMAS CARVERY BINGO DATES

***Please note we will not be taking any bookings prior to Wednesday 21st October***

Tickets go on sale at 9am Wednesday 21st October. Please phone your families and friends before next Wednesday so that you have your final numbers because we require a non refundable deposit of £10 per person at the time of booking. Because it is Christmas we have added an extra date due to selling out very quickly last year.
