We’re the new owners of bakers corner and we’re so excited to begin this new chapter! 🥪❤️

Hi everyone. Has anyone got any CCTV footage covering the area around the café from yesterday? It looks like someone has tried to force entry at the back using a crowbar
The police are being informed. If you have any footage or saw anything suspicious in the area, please get in touch as it could really help. Thank you.

❤️ A little update from The Davy Lamp Café…

We’ve held off increasing our prices for as long as we possibly could, because we know that everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment.

Unfortunately, our own costs have continued to rise, particularly wholesale food prices, along with the other costs involved in running The Davy Lamp Café. We’ve done everything we can to absorb these increases ourselves, but we’ve now reached the point where we simply have no choice but to make some small price increases.

We really don’t take this decision lightly. We want The Davy Lamp to continue serving good-quality food, generous portions and keeping our prices as reasonable as we can.

We’re incredibly grateful for every single customer who chooses to support The Davy Lamp, whether you pop in for a coffee, breakfast, lunch or just a slice of cake. Your continued support means so much to us and helps keep our little café going. ❤️

From 1st September, we’ll be VAT registered.

Firstly, we’d like to say a huge thank you. Thanks to your continued support, our café has grown to the point where we’re now required to register for VAT. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you, and we’re incredibly grateful.

Unfortunately, becoming VAT registered means there will be some changes to our prices.

However, we’re also pleased to introduce our 10% Cash Saver Discount.

💷 From 1st September, you’ll receive 10% off your bill when you pay with cash.

Paying by cash helps us reduce card processing fees, allowing us to pass those savings directly back to you.
