❤️ What a day, Kendray! ❤️
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came in to support us today. The café was incredibly busy, and with temperatures like we’ve never experienced before, it certainly kept us on our toes!
In fact, it got so hot that we managed to set the fire alarm off and had to evacuate the café! 😅 A massive thank you to all our lovely customers for being so patient, understanding, and for following our team’s instructions so calmly. It really does mean the world to us.
To my amazing team—you’ve been absolute stars. Not a single complaint, just sleeves rolled up and getting on with it, all while working in an unbelievably hot kitchen. I couldn’t be prouder of every one of you. ❤️
If tomorrow is just as hot, we may make the decision to close a little earlier so we can look after our team and keep everyone safe. We’ll keep you updated if that’s the case.
Lastly, please remember to be kind to your local cafés, restaurants, pubs, and catering teams. While everyone else is looking for somewhere cool to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat, the people serving you are often working in kitchens that are even hotter. A little patience, understanding, and a smile go a long way.
