Created for my brother and his new wife for their wedding yesterday..this cake in total took around 13 hours from start to finish over 2 days..creams and 24k gold flakes had nothing but compliments which is always appreciated..placing the flakes may possibly have been the hardest part ❤️ Kirsty Holden

Wednesday rants.. Are you on the same page as me?

Cakes are a luxury purchase.. Could you buy this cake from a supermarket? I think not 🥹

Someone said to me recently that they need a mortgage to afford one of my cakes.. At the time I was a little gobsmacked and laughed it off, but actually I’m a little offended and I’ve been thinking about it..

I offer my ideas and services and honestly I wouldn't give something I wouldn't like to receive ,I do lots of donations, raffles to raise funds for all kinds of things.. and I try my hardest to cater to the customers with a budget and if they’re struggling..

Because I believe everyone should have and enjoy birthday cake but unfortunately they don't come really cheap 🎂

I’m sorry, but bespoke, fresh, handmade cakes they’re a luxury, same as going to the hair dressers, having your brows, nails or lashes done, no? This started off as a hobby but over the years has become pretty much a part time job around my 5 amazing children..

It’s totally okay if I’m out if you’re budget, but please don’t be rude because you can’t afford my prices upon asking!

I feel I’m super fair with my prices and my work matches that! I’ve seen some other £70 cakes out there, that don’t look or taste like mine not to brag🥹

Better note - To everyone who does support me, full price, doesn’t question my prices, pays all the extras, tips me, brings me gifts and is happy with my work, THANK YOU.
