Farewell Brother, Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad.
Your place at the head of the table cannot be filled but we are comforted knowing you are now reunited with loved ones missed. We would like to thank you all for the support shown to us as a family over the last few weeks and on Tuesday when we said our final farewell.
We have taken comfort in the stories shared and laughed at many.
Once again thank you.

❤️🤍💚 Norman Anthony Wadsworth (Tony), of Tony’s Restaurant, Tal-y-Bont, passed away peacefully at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, aged 86 years, with loved ones by his side.

Beloved husband of the late Janet; loving father of Steven, Susan, Lynne, Garry, Suzanne, and Christian; proud and caring grandad and great-grandad to all his grandchildren; and a friend to many.

“A true character and one of a kind, he was a vibrant soul and an irreplaceable presence in our lives. His unique spirit and unwavering kindness will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.”

Public service at Aberystwyth Crematorium on Tuesday, 22nd April, at 12:00 noon.

For those unable to attend the service but who wish to bid Tony farewell, the hearse will be leaving Tony’s Restaurant at approximately 10:00 a.m., passing along Barmouth High Street at 10:10 a.m. before making its way to Aberystwyth.

There’ll be an opportunity to celebrate Tony’s life, the way he wanted, at the Min Y Mor, Barmouth, from 3:30 p.m. on the day of the funeral.

Donations in lieu of flowers are gratefully received, if desired, towards a charity of the family's choice, c/o the funeral directors. 💚🤍❤️

It is with great sadness that we regret to inform you that TONY passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, 6th April.

In his 86 years on earth, he met (fed & entertained) so many wonderful people and always had a story to tell.
He always liked to share a joke or two (probably not as PC as one is accustomed to nowadays) and speak with people.
We ask that you share your story or memory about him with us so that we can rejoice in your tales to bring comfort to his family and friends.

We will in due course, update you on the public service to be held in barmouth in a few weeks time (when details have been finalised) there will also be an opportunity to meet afterwards if you're working, or do not wish to attend a religious service.

The family will be grateful if you would share this sad news - both verbally as well as digitally - and kindly ask if you could post your memories and messages on this original post

Regrettably, we will remain closed for all of 2023 due to health reasons!
The proprietor is currently recovering from a hip operation and is now waiting for a much needed shoulder operation!
Due to staff shortages in the area, there simply isn't the woman/ manpower available to cover the workload.
Rather than operate at higher costs & provide lesser standards, the decision has been made to close and concentrate on health again this year.

Apologies & will hopefully see you all again soon

Regrettably, we will be closed for all of 2022
Due to health reasons!

As with all small independent businesses, we rely on only 1 or 2 key figures and without them, there simply is no way to be able to operate the business.

The proprietor is currently recovering from a hip operation and is now waiting for a much needed shoulder operation!

Meaning this year he will be unable to freshly prepare the food from scratch.

Due to staff shortages in the area, there simply isn't the woman/ manpower available to cover the lengthy process that this work involves.

Rather than operate at higher costs & provide lesser standards, the decision has been made to
close and concentrate on health this year.

Sad news.
We will soon be closed over the winter!
This is due to Tony's son needing to have an operation on his leg and the recovery time could be in excess of 3 months. (As you know all of our pizza & pasta sauces are a closely guarded family secret & homemade by him. No sauce = no Tony's)
Our last trading night this year will be Monday 13th December.
No reopening date as of yet, we will advise closer to the time!
We remain open Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday nights until the 13th of December.

Polite notice to customers.
Whilst we and I am sure every other local business appreciates this amazing boom to business the season is bringing, we are all also facing what seems to be a local shortage of available staff, leading to increasing pressure on staff that are working. Whilst we are trying our very best to cope with the huge demand on business can we ask please be patient and understanding of the pressure staff are under. We can only apologise to those that are unable to get through to us or face lengthy waits to order/ collect food, we are trying our best. Your custom is always appreciated, Thank you.
