🍺🇩🇪 NEXT UP FOR OKTOBERFEST AT TKQ… HOFBRÄU ORIGINAL🇩🇪🍺

It's new b**r time so we’ve switched things up with a fresh keg of Hofbräu Original 👀🙌

This is a proper Munich classic from a brewery that’s been doing its thing since 1589. Hofbräu Original is a pale, bottom-fermented l***r with a full-bodied, slightly malty taste, a delicate spicy character and a clean hop aroma. It's beautifully balanced and very, very easy to drink 👌🏼

In other words… if you like your German b**r crisp, smooth and full of character, this one should be right up your street 😏🍻

And remember, our TKQ Oktoberfest celebrations are running throughout October, with a rotating line-up of fresh, authentic German b**rs from some of the country’s biggest breweries. We’ll be tapping them one by one, so keep an eye on our socials to see what’s pouring next 👀🇩🇪

✨ ELU is back at The King’s Quay this Friday! ✨

After going down a storm on her first visit, we’re delighted to have ELU back this Friday 9th October from 7 to 9pm 🙌

Elu (Erin) is a fantastic Bangor based singer-songwriter with an acoustic style that mixes jazz-infused blues and pop. She’s got a cracking voice, loads of variety and a way of putting her own stamp on the songs she plays 🎤

She loved the gig last time, our customers loved her and it's great to have her back playing live at TKQ 😏🎶

And before that, don’t forget our usual Trad Night tomorrow, Thursday 8th October, from 7:30–9:30pm ☘️🎻 - always a brilliant way to get the weekend started a little early.

So that’s two nights of great live music at TKQ this week. Get yourselves down, grab a drink and enjoy it with us 🍻💙

🍺🇩🇪 NOW POURING: PAULANER OKTOBERFEST 🇩🇪🍺

The first b**r of our month long Oktoberfest celebrations has officially hit the taps.. and we’ve started with a very good one 🙌

Paulaner Oktoberfest is a proper Munich classic - golden in colour, full-bodied and smooth, with a lovely malty character and just enough hop bitterness to keep everything nicely balanced. At 6% ABV, it’s definitely one to savour in a stein 😏🍻

And this is only the beginning…
Throughout October, we’ll be rotating through a line-up of fresh, authentic German b**rs from some of the country’s biggest breweries 🇩🇪✨
Each one will be tapped in turn, so keep an eye on our socials to see what’s pouring next 👀

For now though... Paulaner is on, the steins are ready and Oktoberfest at TKQ is properly underway 🍺🎶

⚽️ NORTHERN IRELAND – LIVE AT THE KING’S QUAY ⚽️

International football is here and we're showing all of Northern Ireland’s Nations League campaign live at TKQ, including TONIGHT against Hungary 🙌🔥

The boys got off to the perfect start with a 1-0 win away to Georgia on Friday, so there’s already a bit of momentum behind them, now let’s see what they can do at home tonight against Hungary 👀💚🤍

And if you’re watching the match, you may as well do it properly - big screen, great atmosphere, creamy Guinness and a cracking b**r selection including our own Bangor Bay Brewery pours 🍺💙

Also, seeing as Oktoberfest has officially landed here at The King’s Quay, there is some fantastic 'Paulaner Oktoberfest' pouring at the moment and trust us - it tastes superb 🇩🇪🍻 .. Stein or pint? We’ll leave that difficult decision to you. 😏

For all you b**r lovers out there (and yes, we very much include ourselves in that category) we think you’re going to be rather excited about this one 😏🍻

From this weekend (as soon as the current Krombacher keg runs dry!) we’re officially kicking off a full month of Oktoberfest celebrations at The King’s Quay 🎉🥨

We’ve got 6 different Oktoberfest b**rs lined up from some of the biggest breweries in Germany, all fresh and ready to go. And check out those awesome wooden barrels in the photo? Just a little special taste of what’s to come 🔥😍

We’ll be revealing each b**r as it goes on tap, so keep watching this page, tag your b**r loving friends, and get ready to work your way through a proper German line-up throughout October 🍺🇩🇪

Three nights, three different sounds, and plenty of reasons to get yourselves down to TKQ 👀

Thursday 24th - 7:30 to 9:30pm – Trad Night ☘️🎻
Our regular Thursday session is back with great traditional Irish music, great craic and the perfect excuse to begin the weekend early.

Saturday 26th - 7 to 9pm – Pluckin’ About 🎸🔥
Always a favourite with our customers and always guaranteed to get the bar buzzing. Brilliant young musicians, cracking trad tunes and plenty of energy.

Sunday 27th - 5:30 to 7:30pm – Johnny Irwin 🎤🍺
Johnny rounds things off on Sunday with a great mix of feel-good live music and exactly the sort of soundtrack you want to close out the weekend.

Top music, fine company and a warm TKQ atmosphere all weekend long 💙

This Sunday from 6:30pm - The Two Phils 🎸🎤
We’re delighted to welcome Phil McKee and Phil McCarroll back to TKQ. These two have built a great following around Bangor with a set packed full of classic rock, pop, soul, indie, blues, country and folk. Two great musicians who clearly love what they do 🙌

Two days, two very different sounds and plenty of reasons to get down for a pint and some proper live music 🍺💙

If you like your weekends with a bit of atmosphere, good company and talented local musicians, The King’s Quay is the place to be 🥂

⚽️🍻 FOOTBALL THIS SUNDAY AT THE KING’S QUAY 🍻⚽️

Two Premier League games, one big screen, and a very good excuse to spend Sunday afternoon at TKQ 😎

2pm - Coventry vs Brighton
Coventry are still chasing their first league point, but they gave Man City a proper game last weekend and only lost 1-0. Brighton, meanwhile, have already shown they’ve got goals in them this season, so this could be a lively opener 👀⚽️

4:30pm – Man United vs Man City
Then it’s the big one - Manchester Derby time 🔴🔵🔥
United come in after a dramatic 2-2 draw at Everton, while City have won all three of their opening league matches. Add Old Trafford, local bragging rights and a bit of early-season needle… this one should be spicy 💥

As always, we’ll have the football on the big screen, the Guinness flowing, Bangor Bay Brewery b**rs on tap, and the usual great TKQ atmosphere 🍺💙

Get down early, grab a good spot and settle in for Sunday Football done properly 🙌
