The pier is open until 9:30 for the eclipse tonight (Wednesday 12th) so why not grab a coffee at the Pavilion, and then a pint and a bag of chips at the pub after with the chip shop staying open until 9:30 too!

Dear Customers,

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided not to take cash at the Pavilion. We did not want to paint Bangor in a negative light but we have experienced three break-ins—two occurring within the last two months . Therefore we have made the difficult decision to move to card-only payments.

The safety of our customers and staff is our top priority. This decision has not been taken lightly however, it would be unsafe for staff to walk down the pier at the same time every night with the takings for the day, especially when staff members are already receiving regular verbal abuse when closing the pier.

We would like to thank the local police for their swift response, including the forensic team, who have worked diligently to collect evidence. Additionally, we are grateful to Aaron and Noah for their quick assistance in boarding up the broken window again and to our dedicated staff for their efforts in cleaning up the smashed glass and reopening the café promptly.

We understand that this may be an inconvenience for some of our customers, and we thank you for your understanding and support during this time. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you updated.

This role is ideally suited to someone who brings maturity, reliability, and strong leadership experience to a customer-focused environment. We’re looking for someone who values professionalism, high standards, and community spirit.

☕ Essential Skills & Experience

• Confident and skilled barista (dialing in, milk texturing, consistent quality)
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Ability to lead by example during busy services
• Organized, dependable, and calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
