Preparing our very first Pei Yang House Collection orders today ❤️

After yesterday’s launch announcement, it feels very special to be getting everything ready for our first day of Collection. 😊

A big thank you to everyone who has already placed an order with us and helped spread the word. We cannot achieve this without your kind support ❤️

The bags are prepared, the kitchen is getting ready, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our first Collection customers this evening.

A small milestone for Pei Yang House, but a very exciting one for us. ❤️

🎉 Pei Yang House Collection is now open! ❤️

After a lot of work behind the scenes, we’re very happy to say that Pei Yang House Collection is officially ready to take orders from today, for collection from tomorrow onwards.

A very special thank you has to go to Pete, who has put so much time, patience and hard work into building and developing the website for our new collection service. ❤️ There has been a lot more involved than simply adding an ordering page, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything he has done to help bring it together.

We would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Karen and Will for all your support, encouragement and helpful feedback while we have been getting everything ready. Having people around us who are willing to share their thoughts and support what we are trying to build really does mean a lot to us. ❤️

As part of the launch, we have also enhanced the structure of our existing Pei Yang House website, bringing our Private Dining and Collection services together more clearly and making it much easier for customers to find the information they need and navigate between the different parts of Pei Yang House.

And a big thank you to everyone for your patience while we have been focusing on getting both the ordering system and our kitchen equipment properly set up. We wanted to make sure everything was ready before opening the doors to collection orders rather than rushing the launch.

A little update from Pei Yang House ❤️

After 6.5 years at Amazon, I started thinking seriously about taking a sabbatical — some time to reset, reconnect with myself, and think about what I wanted the next chapter of my life to look like.

Whenever I thought about how I wanted to spend that time, one thing kept coming back to me: cooking and sharing food with people.

So while still working full-time at Amazon’s London head office, I started Pei Yang House as a small private home dining experience at weekends — simply to make space for something I had always loved.

What I didn’t expect was how much the response from our guests would change the way I saw it. Over the past few months, the lovely feedback, returning guests and special celebrations have made me realise that Pei Yang House could become something much bigger than a weekend project.

That contributed to a much bigger decision.

On 28 August, after 6.5 years, I finished my final day at Amazon and stepped away from corporate life to give Pei Yang House my full commitment.

I’m incredibly grateful for my time at Amazon. With the brilliant support of my managers and colleagues, I learned from so many talented people. The experience shaped the way I think, strengthened my confidence and taught me to approach challenges from a much broader perspective.

Before Amazon, I also worked in hospitality, including at The Ritz-Carlton, so this next chapter feels like different parts of my career coming together — hospitality, personal service, strategic thinking and building something sustainably for the long term.

And now we’re ready for the next step.

We’re aiming to launch our new Pei Yang House Collection Service from 16 September. To begin with, we’ll keep order numbers intentionally limited so we can continue to focus on food quality and the experience we want to provide.

My hope is to bring those different experiences together at Pei Yang House — great food, a personal touch, and a thoughtful experience from beginning to end.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us so far. What started as a small idea has gradually grown into a completely new chapter for us. ❤️
