This little number is being added to our spring drinks menu this weekend.
It’s smokey, spicy, deliciously tart and refreshing all at the same time.
It was created in 2008 at New York speakeasy ‘Please Don’t Tell’ blending smoky Mezcal, passionfruit, cucumber, spicy ginger, lime & agave 👌🏻

This week’s cocktail special made its print debut in 1916, in one of the last cocktail recipe books published before Prohibition: Recipes for Mixed Drinks, by Hugo Ensslin.
It was inspired by aviation pioneers of that era with lavender/blue hues of the expansive skies above.
We’ve stuck closely to the original measurements with our take at The Vault..
Jawbox Gin, Crème de Violette, freshly pressed lemon & Maraschino Liqueur.
It’s refreshingly tart, floral and like most drinks from that era it’s pretty strong (Perfect for a sunny Saturday in Banbridge!)

This could be a contender for our spring drinks menu so please let us know your thoughts if you’re in this week :)
