Meet our Team!
Meet Estelle, from our Front of House team, who’ll be a familiar friendly face to many of our regular guests. She can usually be found behind the bar, pulling the perfect pint, or helping to organise our quiz night and trying to resist joining in to compete against her dad!
𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝑩𝑰 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆?
I joined the YBI 10 years ago and have worked here throughout gaining my degree in Engineering. I started out as a waitress and now also work on the bar and sometimes even housekeeping, so a bit of everything!
𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒚?
My favourite dish is either the Pie or Fish and Chips - I love the classics, but I can’t wait to try the Piri Piri Chicken Salad from the new menu.

The thing I enjoy most about my job is the people. I love everyone I work with and the locals, we are one big family. I also love welcoming people to the area and showing them what it has to offer.
𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝒔𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒓?
The YBI is so busy, especially on weekends, so learning how to be flexible and adaptable to cater to everyone’s needs. Also changing all the beds in the hotel is not for the weak!
𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖?
Taylor Swift is my idol! She continues to smash records and is the most successful woman in music while staying true to herself. Another inspiration to me is Michèle Mouton, or ‘The Queen of Speed’, who is the most successful female rally driver in history and never let being a woman in a male dominated field slow her down.
