A touch of Tuscan romance in the Yorkshire Dales

Located on the first floor of the main house, Pienza is a beautifully styled suite bringing a little Tuscan romance to Yorebridge House. Rich grey tones, crisp linens and hand carved furniture come together in a refined retreat designed for total relaxation, while sparkling chandeliers and thoughtfully curated details add warmth throughout.

At its heart sits a luxurious roll top bath, perfectly positioned by the window so you can soak in the bubbles while taking in uninterrupted views across the Dales. The little corners we love most

Not every favourite spot at Yorebridge House is grand, a window seat catching the last of the afternoon light, a fireside armchair tucked away from the main hall, a quiet nook with a book left mid-chapter by whoever settled there before you.

These are the corners guests find for themselves, then quietly return to all weekend. A cup of tea in hand, the Dales just visible through the glass, nowhere else to be.

Long before Yorebridge House welcomed its first guest, Bainbridge was already a place worth pausing in.

Almost two thousand years ago, Roman soldiers stood watch here at Virosidum, a fort built to guard the high passes into Wensleydale. The stone walls are gone now, folded back into the fields, but the ground still holds the shape of them.

Since medieval times, a horn has been sounded across the village green every autumn and winter evening, once a signal to guide travellers safely home through the ancient Forest of Wensleydale. It is one of England's oldest surviving traditions, and it still carries across the dale tonight, just as it always has.

To stay in Bainbridge is to rest somewhere that has been offering shelter for centuries. We simply continue the tradition.

As the nights draw in and the temperature begins to drop, the season is quietly turning at Yorebridge House. Autumn is showing itself in more ways than one, and our summer menu won't be far behind it, giving way to something new in just a few weeks.
