On Sunday, September 13th, I’ll be taking on the Great North Run and running a half marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and the incredible work they do for people living with cancer and their families.

I’m running this race in honour of our friend Bob Poole.
Many of you will know Bob as a regular face in our coffee shop. He’s a man of many talents, always ready with a story, a smile, or a helping hand. More than that, he has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever met.

Recently, Bob has faced significant health challenges and has been diagnosed with cancer of the ampulla. Watching someone so kind and generous face such a difficult battle has reminded me just how important the support provided by charities like Macmillan is. I wanted to share this post because Bob is one of a kind. He has some major surgeries coming and I’d like us to send him all the love and support we possibly can. Let’s spread to love!!

OK, we’re a little late to the party… but we’re finally starting a running club! Whoop whoop 🙌🏻

Hi, we’re Ajay and Ayla, and here’s a little bit of our story…

We first met nine years ago at Ilkley Market, where Ajay was already building his coffee business, roasting his own beans and selling them at farmers’ markets.

Opening a coffee shop had always been a dream of his, so when the opportunity came along to open Four Corners Coffee in the heart of Baildon, it felt like the perfect next chapter.

These days, Ajay is still very much the man behind the coffee… roasting, packaging and labelling every bag himself. I’m a translator by profession, but somehow found myself falling in love with being a barista and spending my days in our little coffee shop.

Outside of work, life is busy with our two boys (the inspiration behind the name Four Corners) and our much-loved dog, Luna. Ajay loves CrossFit, good food and the occasional craft b**r, while I’m happiest gardening in our allotment, baking sourdough, reading, running or cooking.

And now, here we are nine years, two children and one little (but not so little as the last) coffee shop later.

We feel incredibly lucky to be doing this together, and even luckier to have created a place where we can share our love of coffee, good food and community with the people of Baildon.

Hello everyone,

Just a quick heads-up that we will be closed from Monday 3 August until Monday 10 August while our team takes a well-earned break. It’s been a busy few months with lots of changes and we just need a moment to recharge. 🙏🏼

We’ll be back serving your favourite coffee and bakes from Tuesday 11 August, refreshed and ready to welcome you all again.

Thank you all so much for your continued support and understanding. It’s so wonderful to be a part of this amazing community.

We can’t thank you enough for your incredible support. Just 2 weeks after opening our new coffee shop, we are truly blown away by the welcome you’ve given us!

Ever wondered where our name comes from?

Four Corners Coffee isn’t just a name, it’s our family story.
We’re a family shaped by four nationalities: German, Nepalese, English and Indian. Our sons carry all four in their roots, and we knew we wanted a name that reflected who we are at our core.
One family.
Four backgrounds.
One hub.
And a shared love for good coffee and community.

Our name is a reminder that beautiful things happen when worlds meet.
