As we kick off the first day of the summer holidays, we just wanted to say a few thank yous... before we all disappear in search of sunshine! 😎☀️

On Friday, we had several reasons to celebrate! 🎉

First, it was the end of term for our students as they finished up for the summer.

It was also the final day of Westerly's Pick-Me-Up deal, which we've proudly run for staff and students since September.

And, of course, there was the exciting news of Scotland qualifying for the World Cup! 🏴

To mark the occasion, we decided to have a bit of fun and host a Scottish-themed morning for our takeaway customers, getting both staff and students involved in the celebrations. 🍾

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful customers who have supported our morning takeaway service throughout the year.

Your support means so much to us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon. ❤️

Today’s Pick-Me-Up deal brought a Friday moment we couldn’t make up if we tried 😂

Our Level 6 Hospitality student, Cameron Bell, was busy completing his assessment during this morning’s takeaway service when he got the chance to meet… Ayrshire College’s Head of Learning & Skills (Construction Technology, Trades & Renewables)… also Cameron Bell! 😄👏

Safe to say there was a bit of confusion, a lot of laughs, and maybe the start of the ultimate Cameron Bell fan club 🤣

⭐Our doors may be closed to the public—but they’re not locked just yet ⭐

We’re transforming the restaurant into a vibrant pizzeria and mocktail bar 🍕🍹 as we welcome secondary school pupils from across South Ayrshire. It’s a fun, hands-on way to give them a real taste of the world of hospitality 🎓✨

During their visit, pupils get stuck in by making their own pizzas in our kitchen 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 before heading front of house, where we demonstrate how to create a mocktail 🍹. They then get the chance to sit back, relax, and enjoy everything they’ve made themselves 😄🍽️

We are so proud of everything they’ve achieved and the high standard they’ve delivered throughout 👏💛

🎸✨ Rock 4 Ages Lunch – What a Day! ✨🎸

On May 7th, our talented Level 6 Hospitality with Event Management students absolutely rocked the restaurant with their “Rock 4 Ages” themed lunch service—alongside our much-loved Kids Eat Free offer (because good food is for all ages, right? 😉).

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric ⚡ The team pulled out all the stops, organising live entertainment from one of our very own Hospitality students and his band (yes, we have talent and great taste in music 🎶), running a charity raffle, and setting up fun themed photo props—because no event is complete without a few legendary selfies 📸🤘

And it wasn’t just about great food and good vibes ❤️ The students also raised £161.20 through their raffle, with proceeds donated to some amazing charities:

❤️ British Heart Foundation
💛 Samaritans
👑 Little Princess Trust

We couldn’t be prouder of the creativity, teamwork, and heart shown by our students—they truly delivered a service to remember!

Safe to say… it was a day full of food, fun, music, and maybe a few questionable dance moves from staff and guests alike 🕺😂🎤
