DID YE KNOW ?? We have a FREE comedy night the first Thursday of every month!!🐐
“Evenin’ all. With the week for SCY’s return to the Smoking Goat here we have info on this months cracking lineup to whet thee appetites.
With a debut turn for Graeme McNicol, second visits of Aimee Hinds and Fudgie McFadden and smashing returns of favourites Eddy Mackenzie and John ‘Obie’ O’Brien. Sorted.
JOHN OBIE O’BRIEN
Obie has been a regular on the Scottish comedy scene for over 27 years. As well as headlining shows the country he has been performing his own shows at comedy festivals for over 15 years mainly in Edinburgh but has also traveled as far as Melbourne and Perth Australia.
"The entire room rocks with laughter, pretty much constantly" The Scotsman ****
EDDY MACKENZIE
A short round man with a big loud voice who wants to make you boogie!
Holidays, Dinosaurs, and MD2020; Eddy MacKenzie writes songs about all the important things in life!
Casting his comedy lens over anything that takes his fancy, he delivers his tunes with a big grin and a bombastic stage presence!
“the love-child of Brian Blessed and Jack Black”
- Chortle
“Eddy Mackenzie is a cannonball of joy; his voice has an almost wizard-like quality and offers a complete juxtaposition to the pitch of his incredibly contagious laugh.”
- Clownster
FUDGIE MCFADDEN
Fudgie McFadden is a bright upcoming stand up comedian based in Glasgow, Scotland.
Hidinging behind his warm, charming & self deprecating character is a twisted take on modern life, that has been delighting (and concerning) crowds across Scotland for over two years.
“Not only is Fudgie one of our own, he’s also one of our favourite new comics on the scene…one to watch”
-Blackfriars Basement
“One of Scotland’s up and coming acts, with the best facial hair on the circuit. Make sure to check him out!”
-Stuart Mitchell
AIMEE HINDS
“Aimée Hinds is a darkly funny storyteller who finds humour in the places most people try to forget.
Drawing from her real experiences with mental health, including time spent in the psyche ward, she turns chaos into comedy with raw honesty and razor-sharp wit. Her performances blend vulnerability, defiance, and perfectly timed gallows humour, making her one of the most compelling voices on the circuit.
Aimée doesn’t just talk about survival, she laughs in its face.
GRAEME MCNICOL
Graeme McNicol has spent most of his life accidentally collecting material.
His comedy covers family life, getting older, and a remarkable ability to turn normal situations into unnecessarily complicated episodes.
Whether he’s taking his kids to football, starting a new hobby, or simply trying to get from A to B without causing an incident, Graeme finds the funny side of the kind of everyday chaos most people would prefer to forget.
Unfortunately, he remembers all of it.”
