Originally a 17th century coaching inn, the Bucks was a vital resting point for weary travellers. Almost 400 years later, visitors to this beautiful unspoiled Norfolk pub are greeted with the same friendly welcome and cosy informality. In June 2013, the Bucks was taken over by Colchester Inns, a family run business which prides itself on offering excellent food and drink and value for money. To kick things off we’re starting with a Quiz night!! Why don’t you come along with your mates to test your knowledge, and enjoy your evening with friends, food and drinks?

📅 Thursday 1st October 2026
🍽️ Serving a pub classic food menu from 5pm
🧠 Quiz starts at 7pm
👥 Teams of 3–6 people
💷 £20 entry per team - will be redeemed against food and drinks on the night

We just want to say a massive thank you to everybody who has come to dine and drink with us this summer! To let you all know, we’re now not serving food all day.

MONDAY - THURSDAY :
10am to 11:30am breakfast ciabattas
11:30am to 2:30pm lunchtime service
5pm to 8pm evening service

FRIDAY & SATURDAY:

Now that we’re slowly saying goodbye to summer and hello to autumn, what more could you imagine than a hot, gooey, indulgent baked camembert🤤

It’s that time of year again… we’re back to serving food all day!

We’re serving food Monday - Thursday 11.30am - 8pm. Friday & Saturday 11.30am - 8.30pm. Sunday 11.30am - 7.30pm. As well as our full menu, from 11.30am - 5pm Monday - Saturday you can also enjoy our selection of light lunches and flatbreads.

We look forward to sharing our beautiful garden and outdoor eating area with you all this spring/summer and don’t worry, our cosy pub is still here for you when the weather can’t make up its mind!
