'Fun Fact Friday' (a twist on our cocktail facts for this week!) 🏛🖼🎨

Had the absolute pleasure to visit Austria with my time off recently and we had to go and see the original painting that you all love from the Bar.

The Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna holds a breathtaking collection of famous artists but most importantly (over the Rembrandts and Ruben's!) they hold the whole 'The Four Elements' by Guiseppe Arcimboldo, Italian artist (1526 - 1593).

Part of the four elements is 'Water' (1566) which a copy hangs proudly next to the Bar (a wonderful present from my parents when M's first opened).

The other elements are Earth, Air and Fire which you can see in the short video.

Just had to share with you all as the painting is always a talking point in the Bar. Can you see the 60 aquatic and marine creatures in the painting?!

'Fun Fact Friday' 😁

The 'Mai Tai' a favourite of M's as its full of rum !! 😜

A classic Tiki cocktail invented in 1944 and named after the Tahiti exclamation of "maita'i roa a'e" meaning "out of this world". 🍹🍹

White rum, orange Liqueur, fresh lime, almond syrup, orange juice and a good splashing of Dark Rum on top.

There are a number of classic Tiki cocktails including 'Jungle Bird' and 'Painkiller'.

The Jungle Bird is Dark Rum, Campari, fresh lime juice and pineaple juice. 🍍🍍 Equally as delicious 😋

The fresh flavours with rum really are 'out of this world'.

Try one, you never know it might be your new favourite !!

'Fun Fact Friday'

Another popular cocktail from our menu, The Classic Margarita 🍋‍🟩🍋‍🟩

The exact origin is unknown, but its believed to have evolved from a popular 1930's cocktail called The Tequila Daisy, makes sense as 'margarita' is the Spanish word for Daisy.

Another story says the Margarita was concocted by Mexican restaurant owner Carlos (Danny) Herrera in 1938 for gorgeous Ziegfeld showgirl, Marjorie King. Marjorie was allergic to all forms of alcohol except tequila, but didn't like to drink it straight!!

All we can be sure to say is its absolutely delicious, and its a pleasure to serve you an absolute classic cocktail 🍸

We can do a spicy Margarita just as good too!! 🌶🌶
