Mediterranean Gem
Le Pisani was founded by Maltese Chef Ray Pisani in 2014. Comfortable, contemporary, stylish surroundings and friendly service together with fresh food with a Mediterranean flair have made the first restaurant in Axminster a truly local delight. In 2017, Le Pisani was faced with the opportunity of opening a second restaurant, this time in the sea side town of Seaton. After a lot of work, this became reality and with the help of Darren and his wife Rosabelle who came all the way from Malta to partner up with (Darren’s Uncle) Ray, a new addition to the Le Pisani Axminster was born. Both restaurants are now managed and run by the family along with a superb team of local talent. Together we bring a true taste of the Mediterranean to Devon.

Particularly known as the George Cross Island, the sunny island of Malta is conveniently situated in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, with its unique palate traditions and the use of various herbs to boost the flavours in every dish. The island’s strategic position between southern Europe and the northern coast of Africa, together with the close proximity to Italy, offers a superb cuisine.
