Well, you lot have certainly been enjoying your curries this weekend — and quite right too! The sun is shining, there’s a lovely breeze, and curry is always a good idea! 😍

A little reminder that Friday’s freshly made curries are now open for pre-orders, so don’t forget to get yours in.

And please, if you have allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements, tell me when you order.

Honestly, it would be my absolute honour to cook something especially for you. ❤️

One of the things I love most about curry is how adaptable it is. Traditionally, so many spices have been used not just for flavour, but for their wonderful properties too. So why shouldn’t curry be something that everyone can enjoy?

Whether you need something adapted, something without a particular ingredient, or simply want me to rise to the challenge — I’m always happy to! 👩‍🍳

Bhatura‘s are back in stock ! phew ..

its been a busy week ! thankyou everyone . Everything is currently in stock but popular dishes like dhansak and butter are running low - even though I cooked more today in the heatwave (no I’m not complaining ..much !) xx

Baboo is stocked up too ..for human and your doggie friends too :-) x

🍞 ALL THINGS SOURDOUGH! 🍞

Yesterday, three beautiful souls joined me in the kitchen to learn the wonderful (and slightly addictive!) art of sourdough.

And just LOOK at the loaves they produced! 😍

Their first ever sourdough loaves.
I mean… WOW. 🤩

Three fantastic students, three beautiful loaves and another 100% success rate! 🙌🏻

High five to you all! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

And then today brought another little sourdough milestone…

The lovely Hayley delivered her very first batch of sourdough loaves for orders — and what can I say? They looked absolutely beautiful, and the feedback has been fantastic. ❤️

Hayley is now taking the next step and will be baking sourdough commercially, with collection here at Khushi Kitchen on Wednesdays and Fridays (days may change as things get going).

If you’d like to order, there’s currently a sourdough group where you can see all the different options and order directly from Hayley.

Hi all! Just a little about me, Mina taught me sourdough baking on one of her wonderful courses, I make my breads using her recipe, I make classic artisan sourdough and I make loaf tin sour doughs if anyone would like the sandwich shapes- I will come back to you with pricing, I can also make small sizes if that suits, so it would be 1 dough split into two and baked as usual, these are ideal for one for now one for the freezer xx

WHO SAID BEIGE FOOD IS BORING? 🤎🔥

Because honestly… LOOK AT THIS!

Fresh chapatis.
My mustard seed Gujarati potatoes.
Garlicky. Mustardy. Gingery.
Soft, warm, spiced and utterly delicious.

It might not win any prizes for being colourful… 😂
But BORING? NEVER!

These potatoes are pure nostalgia for me. ❤️

I grew up eating them most weeks. Mum would make them alongside all sorts of things, and they were always a picnic favourite too.

And just one mouthful takes me back…

🏞️ Riverside lunches
☀️ Family days out
…and Mum’s Gujarati potatoes tucked into the picnic.

That’s what good food does, isn’t it?

It doesn’t just fill your tummy. It brings back people, places and memories.

And today I’ve turned those memories into this little plate of happiness…

Fresh chapati + Gujarati potatoes + Troll Farm salad + a dollop of yoghurt = HEAVEN. 🤤

And honestly… it’s even better when it’s made fresh like this, rather than coming out of the freezer. That’s where the magic really is. ✨

So yes, it’s beige.

But BEIGE HAS NEVER TASTED SO GOOD! 😂🤎

Exciting news, everyone… some old favourites are BACK! 🎉

Our delicious Bhatura breads are back in stock! 🫓

A huge thank you to the lovely Hayley, who has learnt how to make them and has taken on the challenge of supplying them here at Khushi Kitchen. I’m so pleased to be able to offer these again! After my drama Of developing an eye allergy from
Frying (I know!!) .

But that’s not all…

Hayley is also launching her own bread (sourdough related) business in the very near future, starting with beautiful artisan sourdough. She learnt to make sourdough on one of my courses, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come. Since the course, she’s absolutely flown!

To start with, Hayley will be baking around four sourdough loaves each week, with collection from Khushi Kitchen in Kilmington. Collection days may vary while she gets everything up and running, so we’ll keep you updated.
