Its a lovely day here but myself and my two willing assistants won't be weather watching for a wee while. ChipX will not be out and about anytime soon as It seems i have fractured a bone(s) in my foot - ive lived with joint pain for the last 10 years but i knew this was sore. Thanks to having to wait for nearly 3 weeks for an Xray as you cant just walk into A & E unless you've just fallen over ( which i hadnt ) my body decided to start healing itself. Fortunately it seems to be making a good job of self repair and with the state of the NHS today i hope it continues to be so clever. Thanks to all our customers, im really sorry we came to a sudden end but we do hope to be back again in the future.

ChipX will be closed this weekend. I am really sorry but before the sun comes out and I'm raring to go again ( so I can't change my mind) I needed to say it. Im sure no one wants to hear about my medical issues ( so you dont need to carry on reading but i feel i need to explain myself ) I was asked where my crutches were on Friday night as there were a few sets going about in Aultbea and I still need to use mine too - fortunately, not all the time but they're out on full time duty again now. Anyway, I was in pain at the time and didnt want to let anyone down by us not being open when we'd said we would. ChipX is a great distraction from my ongoing issues with my hips and i dont notice pain when I'm actually in there strangely but my brain and my body dont agree and it seems the body won. I have hurt my foot due to too much standing and the way I walk and before I do more serious damage I need to rest it up and let it recover. I never thought ChipX would be this popular and im delighted and loving it and want to carry on. So thank you very much to all our wonderful customers for coming, for all the likes, shares and lovely comments they really do keep me going and are well appreciated. See you soon. PS I don't need pity - its self inflicted sort of. Ha ha

May in the Calendar is always a place that reminds me of my cousin, as that was her birthday month. For 2027, it’s lovely Camusdarach. She was a much loved midwife and received great care at the Beatson when she became unwell, which is why Beatson Cancer Charity is one of the two charities to benefit from the calendar.
