Well, well, well...look who's 'inDulging' in a wee post. Me, I, Chefsta'. How are we all?
Many moons have elapsed, since we reluctantly closed our doors, down Auchterteuchter way...8 looooong years in fact. Imagine therefore if you will, myself and the still hyperfragrant, sumptuous, front of house leader supreme Amanda, paying a wee random visit to the Highland Haven of Grantown-on-Spey, replete with masks on and someone says, "So what are you doing now, since inDulge closed?" Eh? Whit?? I'm thinking before the mention of inDulge, mistaken identity. But no...Karen, an old customer (no, not that old!) has recognised me and she, saying we haven't changed. Eh? Whit?? Well maybe not Amanda!
Karen, pictured here, is part of KJ's Bothy Bakery, outside the town centre. This place is amazing...amazing. Sitting outside, having a wee hotchoc and lemon/lime driz/millionaire shortie nibbles. Cake/traybake heaven...and there's so much more. Check out their website and when you can, just get there. I asked for a job, but the bus service fae Braco is a tad unreliable...anyhoo, all the girls thought I looked unreliable...probably right.
Let us know how you all are...and like Karen, say I haven't changed...ahem...

Andrew Fairlie...
So long, our wonderful friend.
You will remain a constant, in the history of our wee establishment and we will never forget your unstinting, loyal support.
You were quite simply, a great guy.
Rest easy, pal...
Love,
inDulge...😔

Hullawrerr chinas!
I know, I know, what am I (Monsoor Chefypants) doing contacting the great General Public, after all this time. Sadly, 'tis not to announce the re-opening of your once favourite cubby hole. I thought it would be right and proper to post a wee notice about a previous patron of our establishment who is in the news today, for a hugely sad reason, although he will be enjoying a wonderful day tomorrow. That person is Mr Andrew Fairlie.
Y'all know who Andrew is. He's the guy who used to come into our bo***ir and try to find out my bestest recipes, to take back to his 2 star Michelin establishment.
Andrew has had health issues for quite a time and for those of you not in the know, today's newswires will tell you everything.
Goes without saying, we believe him to be one of the great guys and consider ourselves better people for having had him around, supporting our wee business, which he did, often.
So, with impending nuptials to his beloved Kate, on the closest of horizons, we wanted to wish them both every happiness.
Let's stay happy and positive...couple of wee stories.
One lunchtime visit, Andrew was presented with a large latte, by Oor Jenna. Now, back in those daze, latte art was, how shall I say, a work in progress. It's quite easy to get it wrong, with a mere wiggle of the milk jug. Thus, Andrew was presented with the perfect male appendage (though Jenna swears it was a swan). He was of course, the perfect gentleman...if going a bit red and spluttering into laughter is the template. Never said anything, but ordered 6 more...
We had also asked Andrew if he would kindly look around inDulge and advise if there were changes he thought might be appropriate, to assist in our growth. I took him into the kitchen. The inDulge kitchen was a slightly long cupboard. I still wonder how we produced so much food. Anyway, Andrew took a quick look..." Fu***ng hell" he offered and I assumed there was little I could do, to make it any more efficient. That's professional advice, right there.
It is indeed incredibly pertinent that we should herald our wonderful friend today, as I note from inDulge Facebook history, on the 6th November, 2013 Andrew voted us as a 5 star experience. To us Andrew, you're the 5 star guy and we're honoured to count you as a friend. Fight the good fight, sir. We're with you, every step of the way...

Huge love to you, Kate and all the family,

Amanda & Colin...

For those of you who keek round the corner onto our wee Facey page every now and again (just for old times' sake) we are sad to say that our oldest and dearest customer from inDulge days, Isla Philip, passed away peacefully last week, at the ripe young age of 97.
Mrs P as we affectionately knew her, was a regular feature in inDulge accompanied more often than not, by her loving daughter, Sarah. She loved a wee glass of Merlot...who am I kidding, she loved a LARGE glass of Merlot and we often recall with more than a hearty chuckle, the day she came in for lunch with one of her wee friends.
Amanda...(to wee friend) "A wee glass of something?"
Wee friend..."A glass of Merlot would be nice, but I'm driving, so just make it a small one."
The incomparable, irreplaceable Isla..."I'm driving too, but I'll have a large glass and pretend I'm not!"
Priceless.
For those who'd like to pay their respects to a truly remarkable woman, her funeral will take place at Perth Crematorium this Thursday at 2pm.
To Sarah and family, we pass our heartfelt condolences.
As for us, we are just so blessed to have all those great memories, of a hale and hearty nonagenarian, who made us laugh so often and who we are proud to remember as a dear friend.
Rest easy Mrs P...Merlot all round, I believe...
All our love, Colin & Amanda...
