School’s out for Summer! 😎 The kids grins say it all!

Another year complete and this year I tried my hand at cupcake bouquets for the teachers- what do you think?

Always a massive privilege to be able to spend the holidays with the children so you might see me a bit less but the girls will be there at 108, keeping us caffeinated and providing the sweet treats! We will be having a short break at the end of August but I will confirm dates nearer the time.

Last weekend I had the privilege of making this beautiful cake for the most brilliant couple.

Decorated with fresh flowers from magnolia florist Magnolia of Tring🌷the bride and groom chose 3 flavours of chocolate, carrot and vanilla, with vegan cupcakes to accompany. The Barn at Bierton The barn is such a beautiful venue. Always feel so lucky to be part of people’s special day🎂

This week we bid a fond farewell to one of the most amazing baristas and most gorgeous, kind human being I’ve had the privilege of working with. Georgie, you have made us laugh on the daily with your random song lyrics and film quotes, I don’t think there was ever a dull shift. Your coffee making skills have been exceptional- we are so lucky to have had such a talented barista in our midst for the last two years. You have the kindest soul and you have worked so incredibly hard for me, I am beyond grateful. I really do believe the world has big plans for you- wishing you the very best of luck for future, you will be so very very missed 🥲❤️

Celebration Cakes 🎂

It’s that time of year where the order book closes for the summer. However this time, I sadly won’t be re-opening it in September. We have a very big staff turnaround after the summer, so I will be in the shop far more, and on a personal note I have found myself more and more sacrificing time with the kids as I’ve been having to make the cakes outside working hours. I need to give my poor husband a break from icing covered work surfaces and food colouring everywhere. Thank you as ever for trusting me with your special occasions and allowing me to create these gorgeous cakes. Who knows- I might be back but for now, I’ve got 4 final cakes including my last wedding cake- then I’ll be fully focused on making yummy things for the cake counter!
