This week, BREW received its first review that wasn’t 5 stars.
If we’re honest, it stung a little.
Not because of the score.
But because of the words.
The reviewer felt that some of the charm and soul had disappeared since the relaunch.
And that’s something we’ve thought about a lot over the last couple of days.
Because BREW was never supposed to be “just another coffee shop.”
It started as a crazy idea between two people who simply wanted to create somewhere special. You can see where we started from the amazing photo above.
Somewhere people could slow down.
Somewhere friends could meet.
Somewhere families could spend time together.
Somewhere that felt warm, welcoming and genuinely different.
Over the last few months we’ve been blown away.
What started with a few nervous opening days has become queues out of the door, busy weekends, thousands of coffees served and countless familiar faces returning week after week.
The truth is, BREW is growing.
And whilst we’re incredibly proud of that, we’re also determined not to lose what made people fall in love with it in the first place.
We’ll never get everything right.
We’ll make mistakes.
We’ll learn.
We’ll improve.
But one thing will never change.
The people.
The passion.
And the gratitude we feel every single time somebody chooses to spend their hard-earned money with us.
To everyone who has supported BREW, Woolley Moor Nurseries and our family over the last few months…

You have helped create something far bigger than a coffee shop.
You’ve helped create a community.
