Not a rant… not a provocation… not a post to get ranty comments… just an observation from the kitchen. We have to be extra careful with allergies, we have seperate prep boards and utensils. Today’s customer had a tomato allergy and impressed the importance of using seperate utensils to prepare the salad. I questioned the order, asked for it to be double checked, but the tomato allergy DID NOT matter for the baked bean juice. Now, either there’s an allergy or not… or an intolerance or not… I’ve recently been diagnosed with a dairy intolerance, I know my boundaries, but to say you have a tomato allergy but beans in tomato sauce is ok… it fathoms me…
