Annan Athletic U20s are delighted to announce a fantastic new partnership with Cafe Royal Annan — an award-winning fish & chip shop with the local community firmly at its heart. ❤️

As part of the partnership, Cafe Royal will sponsor every home Man of the Match award this season, with each MOTM receiving one of the best fish suppers around! 🐟🍟

So lads… if you needed any extra motivation to put in a big performance at Galabank, there it is! 👀😂

We can’t thank Cafe Royal enough for this incredibly generous gesture and for their support of our young players.

There’s also a brilliant connection between the two organisations, with Cafe Royal co-owner Michael having spent many years as a community coach here at Annan Athletic. It’s great to see that relationship continue in a new way.

Support a 10% VAT Rate for UK Hospitality – Please Sign the Petition

Dear friends and colleagues,

The UK hospitality industry is under enormous pressure.

Restaurants, cafés, pubs and hotels are facing rising labour costs, higher Employer National Insurance contributions, increasing food prices, soaring energy bills and a 20% VAT rate. Many businesses are struggling to survive, and some have already been forced to close.

A UK Parliament petition is calling on the Government to reduce VAT for the hospitality sector from 20% to 10%, helping businesses protect jobs, encourage investment and keep local high streets thriving.

Reduce VAT on hospitality to 10% to prevent closures & protect tax revenue. When venues close, HMRC loses 100% of its VAT, business rates, PAYE & corporation tax, reducing employment & supply chains. We believe a lower VAT rate would keep viable businesses trading, securing jobs & ongoing revenue.
