Rich & Annie have put together another cracking selection this week, including slow-cooked venison & red w**e casserole, pork schnitzel with grilled pineapple, beetroot & feta arancini, and beef or vegan chilli-topped tater tots. 😋

And definitely save room for dessert — homemade cinnamon bun with coffee ice cream sounds dangerous! 😂

Join us at The New Inn, Amesbury from 10:30am–12:30pm for another Latte & Laughter Social Café.

A friendly, welcoming and inclusive space for people with a learning disability and/or autism to socialise, meet new people, enjoy a cuppa and have a laugh. 😊

Led by the lovely Rachel & Sharon, who put so much time, care and hard work into making Latte & Laughter such a welcoming community group. ❤️

THE BAR IS REALLY STARTING TO COME TOGETHER! 🍻

Another big step forward in the Coach House renovation (favourite name atm)!

All the solid oak worktops are now in, including the back bar and side bar, the mirror and brick slips are nearly finished, and the bar itself has had a complete transformation.

We have sanded back all the old black paint, brought the timber back to life and oiled it. The bar hood has had the same treatment — sanded, burnt and oiled — while the bands have been sanded and repainted in black gloss.

The b**r fonts you can see are only temporary for the install — the new ones will be going in soon! 🍺

Still lots more to do, and it is going to look even better when everything comes together.

Big shout out to Graham Smallwood for installing bar tops.

What a brilliant piece of local pub history! 🍺

A huge thank you to Bevill Hutchinson and Geoff for very kindly giving us this fantastic old Bishops Tipple – Gibbs Mew pub mirror.

It originally hung in The Ship Inn in Salisbury, a pub that has sadly long since gone. The mirror is believed to be around 40 years old.

Even better, it features Salisbury Cathedral right in the centre. ❤️

We absolutely love pieces like this with a genuine local story behind them, and we’ll find it a good home here at The New Inn.

⚽ Football for Better Mental Health 💚

We had a lovely visit yesterday from a lady from Kick Start FC, who dropped off some flyers and b**r mats to help spread the word about the brilliant work they are doing.

Kick Start FC uses the power of football to support better mental health and wellbeing, helping people build confidence, meet new people, get active and have somewhere to talk — all with no pressure and no judgement.

They run FREE football therapy sessions for ages 16+, including men’s, women’s and walking football sessions.

We have put some of their flyers and b**r mats around the pub, so have a look next time you are in — or just ask us if you would like to know more.

We are always happy to use The New Inn to help promote local groups and organisations doing positive things in our community. ❤️
