🌱 YOU SPOKE… WE LISTENED! 🌱

Well, our vegetarian menu certainly got people talking! 😂

We’ve read all your comments, taken the constructive feedback on board and gone back to the drawing board once again.

We’ve worked with ingredients already used across our current menu—helping us keep preparation and food waste under control—while introducing a much clearer selection of both vegetarian and vegan options.

Our updated menu now includes vegan breakfasts, brunch bagels, jackets, salads, paninis, toasties and sandwiches, all clearly marked:

V — Vegetarian
VG — Vegan

We’re a small independent business, and we’re always willing to listen, learn and adapt where it’s practical for our kitchen.

So here it is… our newly updated Vegetarian & Vegan Menu! 🌱

🤖 AI STRIKES AGAIN… THE VEGETARIAN MENU EDITION! 🌱😂

Some of you may of seen our first attempt at creating a vegetarian menu…

Apparently, our helpful little AI robot believed that bacon, corned beef and chicken curry were vegetables. 🤦‍♀️🤣

In fairness, I didn’t notice either—so between me and the robot, we made a right meal of it!

After several corrections, a thorough inspection and strict instructions that nothing with a face belongs on a vegetarian menu, we’re finally ready to reveal the new—and genuinely vegetarian—version! 🌱

The menu may have had a little help from AI, but all the dishes, recipes and choices are ours, prepared by real people in our very real kitchen.

And if anyone spots bacon this time, I’m sacking the robot. 🤖🥓😂

🤖 A LITTLE WORD ABOUT AI…

We’ve noticed that AI can be a bit of a controversial subject, so we thought we’d explain why small businesses like ours use it.

Big companies have professional photographers, graphic designers, marketing teams and enormous advertising budgets. Here at Coquet Tea Rooms, we have an iPhone, a very busy café—and me trying to do everything! 😂

The cakes and food you see in our posts are the real products we serve. AI simply helps us sharpen our photographs, remove distracting backgrounds and create attractive posts that hopefully catch your eye.

We don’t use it to invent food we don’t sell, mislead customers or make promises we can’t deliver. We use it as an affordable tool that gives a small independent business the chance to produce marketing that can compete with the big chains.

AI isn’t baking the cakes, writing the menu or working in our kitchen—although an extra pair of robotic hands might occasionally be useful! 🤣

Used honestly and responsibly, we really don’t see the problem. Small businesses have to move with the times, work with what they have and make every penny count. ❤️🍰

So, when you see another small business using AI to create posters or posts and spread the word about what they do, please don’t give them a hard time. They’re simply using the tools available to help their little business compete, survive and hopefully thrive. ❤️
