Hello everyone! 😃
I just wanted to share a little highlight from my Christmas special television work recently… it was such an exciting experience and I’m so grateful for all the lovely support and messages I received! 📺💛

And guess what… 👀
I’m now working on more TV projects behind the scenes (can’t say too much yet 🤫😆) but I’m very excited for what’s coming next!

The good news is, while I’m away filming and working on TV opportunities, I’ve got an amazing team looking after both my coffee shop and the restaurant. They are honestly incredible and I’m so lucky to have them 💪☕🍜

For the restaurant, we are currently focusing mainly on takeaway, as it helps us keep things running smoothly with the rising overhead costs.

If you’re looking for a lovely place to sit down with friendly service, I highly recommend our wonderful Thai restaurant up the town near my coffee shop. They are so lovely, welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious! 🇹🇭✨

Alton is such a special town — full of charm, history, and people who truly appreciate good food and time spent together. Many of us grew up with traditional restaurants and full table service, where meals were slow and social — and we love that too!

But behind the scenes, it’s getting harder for small, independent restaurants to keep that model sustainable. Every table service meal means more staff, more time, and higher costs — and we never want to compromise on quality or raise prices unfairly.

That’s why we’ve created a new dining style at Chariya’s Kitchen: still freshly cooked, full of flavour and heart, but designed for efficiency and value — so you can enjoy beautiful food without the long wait or high overheads.

Every curry, stir-fry, and noodle bowl still carries the same love and soul from my kitchen — just with a smarter way to serve it.

What a week it’s been! 😪😪 But we did it!
Our restaurant is now officially open with a brand-new model — self-service with a kiosk! 🎉

🍛✨ Build Your Own Rice Bowl — pick your favourite dishes, mix and match, and create your perfect bowl ❤️

We also have signed copies of my cookbook available at both the restaurant and the coffee shop! 📖☕️

More exciting dishes and menu items coming very soon 😃😃😃

Coming along nicely so far both Coffee Roaster and the restaurant 🙂🙂 but I’m sorry to say the restaurant will postpone to open on Friday the 3rd instead! Still last minute to set up the system for the kiosks and the retail side ☺️☺️

My cook book is out 😄 A signed copy will be selling at the Coffee shop and the re-brand restaurant at Chariya’s Kitchen. 📕😀📕😀 Just want to remind you “We are not closing down! 😂 do not panic! We are changing the type of the restaurant. It will be fast serve/counter service so less cost to run, meaning the food is also much much cheaper! ☺️☺️

🌟 Exciting News from Us! 🌟

From 1st October 2025, Khao Soi by Chariya will become Chariya’s Kitchen — a new small chain restaurant starting right here in Alton.
Here is a sneak peak menu! 😊😊

We all know times are tough — food costs, energy bills, and everything else keep going up. Eating out at a nice restaurant isn’t something people can do very often anymore. That’s why I’ve decided to create something more affordable and practical: fresh Thai & Asian street food in bowls that are quick, delicious, and served in recyclable boxes. Perfect for busy people who want a proper meal without the fuss (or frozen ready meals!).

At the front, we’ll also have a little Chariya’s Kitchen Shop, where you can grab my homemade sauces, meal kits, and ingredients to cook at home.

From October, there will be no reservations needed — just walk in, order at the kiosk, and enjoy. Eat in with us, or take it home.

💛 Thank you all for your support — I can’t wait to welcome you to this new chapter at Chariya’s Kitchen.

We’re expanding into Lower Soldridge Farm!

A huge thank you to Darren and his amazing family for helping us make this dream extension come to life. We’ll be near The Pottery Pantry , and there’s still some space available so if any businesses want to join this lovely little neighbourhood, now’s your chance!

During this transition period, please bear with us. 🙏
There may be a few temporary coffee supply issues at Coffee Cherry as we sort out the new setup, stock levels, and... we’re still waiting on the gas engineer to give us some FIRE 🔥 so we can start roasting again!
