Just noticed the 20 year anniversary logo on the Allendale Brewery pump clip. Can it really be 20 years ago that Tom brought round samples of the first brew, and we sat in our bar agreeing to take a couple of shiny new firkins. If I remember right, that beer was, or became Curlew's Return.

We have a new range of malt whiskies to add to the existing top shelf. These are 100 proof (57% abv) and range from the peaty (Staoisha) to the smoother Speyside styles.

They can be taken neat, or with water or over ice. Being unchillfiltered, cold water and ice can bring a haziness to the drink, matched by the laziness in your head of the strong liquor.

Come on down and give them a try. Good with a half of cask ale.

As we head towards the longer days, we are moving to summer hours. We are still committed to opening and serving food seven days a week. Please note that at busy times, you may not be able to walk in and expect immediate food service. It is always advisable to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
We also commit to no automatic service charge. If you like what we do, we appreciate your gratitude, but don't see it a as a given right.
