DECAF. REALLY.

In the alternate reality where we only drink decaf we’d probably drink a lot of this…

A mighty delicious coffee roasted by Manchester’s Blossom Coffee Roasters and sourced from their longstanding producer partners Mártir, a group of farms in La Plata, Colombia. It makes a beautiful balanced and creamy brew which will make you question things…!

But seriously, whenever we try it we’re reminded of how tasty it is. Today was one of those days. It’s our house decaf for the while. So yum! 😋

MISSING HOME?

Then you always can grab takeaway bags of our house coffee beans to brew up at your leisure….

Right now we’ve got a beautiful single-estate from Colombia. It’s a washed, extended fermentation, rare “striped” Caturra variety. It’s a quality all-rounder, working fantastically well as filter, cafetière or espresso. Flavour-wise it’s giving us a bit of chocolate, a touch of caramel and a vanilla flourish.

There’s a bag drop every Friday and with the beans sourced and roasted by the exceptional Tilted Coffee right here on-site in Alsager you won’t get much fresher or local! It’s also a UK exclusive to Tilted, so pretty special all over really!

Save for guests, or drink it as your daily. Either way it’s quite simply the best coffee you’ll find round here.

LONG SWEET SUMMER

Very excited to announce that from Friday you’ll be able to grab pots of gorgeously sweet stuff from one of Cheshire’s most iconic ice cream makers.

Started in their farmhouse kitchen 40 years ago, Snugburys Ice Cream is a family owned business with quality and fun at its heart. Made with quality ingredients and being known as one of the best in the UK it’s quite the scoop (ahem) to be able to serve these frozen delights at Home.

We got you six flavours (including plant based options) in our freezer so come get them while the sun is shining and before we sell out!

PRESSING ON

A little post to wish all the best to a couple of Homies heading down to London this weekend to take part in the finals.

It’s a journey that started with King and Tom’s first stab at the competition last year, where they didn’t quite make it through, so to make the final rounds less than a year later is some achievement!

They’ll be up against 13 other competitors for the coveted golden Aeropress and of course the glory! Probably some free coffee too!

The summer break is here, or summer graft depending on your perspective! We plan to be open for most of the holiday period although we’ll be operating reduced hours on weekdays.

Some closing days too. In addition to Thursdays as usual we’re planning to stay shut on:

…OR PASS NEARBY AT LEAST

It’s that time of year when folk are on the road : staycations, day-trips, weddings, family get-togethers or just out for fun!

Just so happens that Home is perfectly placed somewhere halfway to somewhere else, just a stone’s throw from the M6 (around an 8 minute drive to be precise) and could just be your antidote to depressing service station slop : think hand-crafted single origin coffees, prime sandwiches and sweet treats.

🚗 Heading north, come off at J16 and follow the signs for Alsager.

🚗 Heading south arrive like a local and nip off at (and bypass) Sandbach services coming straight onto the A533 - look for the no entry signs opposite the petrol station 😉

🚗 Free parking opposite courtesy of Asda and Milton Park a two minute walk away to stretch your legs. Time to elevate your pit stop!
