Now it's official....
After 5 months of working on this wonderful project, we managed to get some of our first bottles to Newcastle.
Drew, Oliver, Mark and Archie all have their bottle of rum.
To get your hands on one of these (and support GymPossible), pop into the shop or visit alnwickrum website.
We even had the pleasure of meeting James Nesbitt. Apparently he likes rum too...

The concept - 3000 miles rowing from the Canary Islands to Antigua.
Raise enough money to support GymPossible in their quest to expand their current set up.

WOR Rum was produced to help support this venture. Proceeds from sales go directly to GymPossible.

NEW to our shelves. We are excited and extremely honoured to be able to help and support such a wonderful cause.

On the 12th of December 2026, school friends Mark Watson, Oliver Smith and Archie Dickinson will take on the World’s Toughest Row, rowing more than 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from San Sebastián de La Gomera in the Canary Islands to English Harbour, Antigua.With the ambitious goal of raising over £250,000, Blue Star Rowing are supporting Gym Possible, a registered charity based in the North East of England, to help expand its facilities and build one of the world’s best accessible gyms for people with physical disabilities.A percentage of every bottle sold will help Gym Possible continue making exercise physically, financially and culturally accessible, giving more people with disabilities the opportunity to improve their health, confidence and independence.

FROM THE BREWERY TO THE BBC!

Well… we never expected our squatting hen to become a local celebrity!

After our post about the rather determined hen who decided the brewery was the perfect place to settle down went viral, she’s now officially made it onto BBC News North East!

From a quiet little squat at Alnwick Brewery to BBC fame… it’s fair to say she’s handled the attention better than most of us would!

We’re delighted that our feathered friend has brought a few smiles to people across the North East — although we’re still waiting for her to demand her own brewery tour and a share of the profits.

Who knew one hen could cause such a flap?
