Another Sunday smashed! 🍽️

We had a very busy day today, there was barely any time to get any photos! Lots of people in and out the door, lots of roast dinners served, and lots of clean plates!

If you know you’re coming, please book a table in advance to avoid disappointment! As we filled all of our tables multiple times today, and we don’t want to let anyone down if we’re busy!

Weekend Specials! 🍽️

Our weekend specials were flying out of the kitchen tonight, and it’s safe to say they were a hit!

We love getting creative at the weekend and trying out some new dishes, and judging by the number of clean plates coming back, these ones definitely went down well!

This weekend’s specials include:

🦌 Venison Casserole: slow-cooked venison served with blue cheese dumplings, creamy mashed potato & roasted root vegetables.

🍅 Caprese Salad: creamy buffalo mozzarella with a fresh tomato & basil salad, finished with a drizzle of balsamic dressing.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave our specials a try tonight! We’re already looking forward to seeing what makes it onto the next specials list!

As a local Northumbrian pub, our community means everything to us. We’re incredibly lucky to have so many fantastic local producers and businesses on our doorstep, and we love being able to support them and show off their products to our customers.

Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Ad Gefrin, whose bottles quite frequently fly off our shelves! 🥃🍸

🥃 Tácnbora — whisky blended in Northumbria
🥃 Flýte — whisky cream liqueur made with Tácnbora
🍸 Thirlings — Northumbrian dry gin

We’re always hearing lovely comments from customers about these, and it’s easy to see why!

We’re very lucky to have the Ad Gefrin distillery right on our doorstep, with their visitor experience in Wooler, just under 9 miles from us. So if you’re in the area, why not pop in and discover where these local favourites are made? If not, these gorgeous bottles can be found behind our bar!
