Wessington's Traditional Fish and Chips Traditional Fish & Chips since 1949! Opening Times:
Thursday Friday & Saturday 4.30pm-8pm We only fry in all vegetable frying fat.

All of our fish are sourced from sustainable fishing grounds and are prepared each day on the premises. Our chips are freshly prepared just minutes before frying, using the highest quality potatoes. It's additive free, contains no hydrogenated fats and less than 1% trans fatty acids. We have an exemplary food hygeine record, obtaining a rating of 5/5, we take cleansiness and food safety very seriously.

As we prepare to reopen tonight we are keeping a close eye on the forecast for this evening!
Currently looks like the snow will be coming abit later so we should be ok 🤞
However, please check on here before travelling as if things change we may close early.

Edit - WOW what can we say, we are blown away, humbled and overwhelmed at the kind words & support from our AMAZING customers!! We appreciate each and everyone of you & will be replying to individual comments over the next few days 🥰 Thank you so much, it means an awful lot!

So I wasn't going to rant but you know what; hospitality businesses are facing more pressure than ever before, with predicted half of UK Fish and Chip shops to close this year alone!
We try our absolute best to maintain quality & service and are swallowing the majority of cost increases to keep prices as reasonable for our customers as feasible.
Yet we get rude messages, obnoxious comments and negative reviews for.. not the food, not the service, but for being "TOO BUSY" ?!
Yes we know wait times can be high but we are a tiny shop with 2 fryers and we work as fast as we physically can. What exactly am I supposed to do?! How can it be our fault that we are busy?! Do we force people to queue?!

Have put my heart and sole into 25 years of running this shop (and thoroughly enjoyed it!) but to receive this after a busy hot weekend has now left me feeling rather deflated and wondering why we keep frying...
