What a lovely day of creativity at Creative Connections!

Today we spent a full day exploring the beautiful Japanese art of Kinusaiga, transforming fabric scraps into gorgeous pieces of textile art. From waves and sunshine to colourful landscapes and mountain scenes, everyone brought their own ideas, style and approach to the craft, and the results were wonderful!

There was plenty of experimenting with fabrics, mixing colours, learning new techniques and, of course, lots of lovely conversation and great company along the way.

A few projects still need a little finishing off at home, but that didn't stop lots of smiley faces leaving Creative Connections today, and that's exactly what our workshops are all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so enjoyable. We love seeing how differently everyone approaches the same craft, and watching those individual ideas come to life.

Swipe through to see some of the beautiful work taking shape today. We think you'll agree that there's some real talent in the room!

Keep an eye on our page for more creative workshops coming soon. We'd love to welcome you along to our next one!

The perfect Sunday spot … open today until 3pm for brunch, coffee, cake and of course pottery painting 🎨

NEW STOCKIST AT CREATIVE CONNECTIONS!

We are so excited to introduce our newest stockist, Bear Cool Honey Company!

We’ve been looking forward to welcoming these lovely local products onto our shelves, and we’re delighted to be supporting another fantastic Derbyshire business.

Bear Cool Honey Company produces a gorgeous range of award-winning honey and honey products, including their local wildflower honey, flavoured honeys and some beautiful 100% beeswax candles.

We’ve started with a small collection while we see which products our customers love most, but they are already proving very popular — so if you have your eye on one, don’t hang around!

Our first collection includes:
• Local Wildflower Honey
• Ginger Honey
• Orange & Vanilla Honey
• Cinnamon Honey
• Chilli Honey
• Wild Garlic Infused Honey
• Adorable Baby Bear Honey jars
• 100% Beeswax Candles

And we have to say a huge thank you to the lovely Linda of Bear Cool Honey Company, who has been fantastically supportive of Creative Connections and the work we’re doing here.

We love being able to bring more wonderful, locally made products into the shop, and even more so when we can build relationships with the brilliant people behind them.

So, next time you’re in for a coffee, a cake, a pottery painting session or one of our workshops, have a browse and take a look at our new honey collection.

We have a feeling this one is going to be a firm favourite!

Support local. Shop local. Discover something lovely.

All set for the first session of our Blackwork Sew-along this evening.:-)
