I have been so rubbish lately at taking photos - I blame the hot weather.

As much as I enjoy the lovely sunny weather, it’s not great when you’re baking.

Please remember when collecting cakes -
• have the air con on full blast

• cake needs to be kept flat ( in the boot , footwell or held) not on the seats

• go straight home, don’t leave the cake in the car for any period of time - it will melt!

• when you get home put the cake in the fridge

Never put the cake in direct sunlight, all cakes are held with buttercream and butter melts.

Prior to collection all cakes are kept in the fridge.

On another note we have the odd last minute availability over the next couple of weeks before we enjoy a couple of weeks away in August.

So for any cake enquiries please give us a message.

Our buffets have also been very busy lately too, so just ask for any information on those two.

What a super hot week last week was ☀️ 🥵

Being a baker in those conditions is certainly testing, especially when we don’t have air con. For the amount of sun we do get it’s not worth it at the moment so I have to just try my best and do what I can.

I’m definitely glad for a bit of cooler weather - today is lovely! ☺️

When the weather is hot, be sure to make sure cakes are collected in an Air -Con car and kept flat (in the footwell, boot or held) then kept in the fridge until you need the cake) do not leave in direct sunlight or in the heat - it will MELT!

What a beautiful weather we have had for half term…finally ☀️
But as always it’s flown by!

Should I re open the cake shed?!

So we’ve been a little quiet enjoying a long weekend away and busy catching up. Think I’m just about there.

Just putting it out there -

We haven’t done the cake shed for a long time, just with a few complications.

But who would like to see it back? And if so what sort of bakes?
Cake slices, brownie, cookie pie, millionaires shortbread ect.

Thinking of having it ready for a Friday Am - Sunday as bakes will have up to 5 days on them.
