Dizzy Dough update
As you may have noticed, we have been closed through November . This has been out of our hands and this is why; (I can’t name the owners etc for legal reasons)
I took on a sub lease from the previous tenants, who run Les Duex who showed me documentation that assured me that this was completely above board.
We threw everything we had into creating a family focused place for the wonderful community of Alderley edge. A family independently run business providing a fun atmosphere was our aim. After 2 months of renovations we traded for 2 very successful months. We had fantastic feedback from our wonderful customers and were confident we would continue to be a great place for families to enjoy.
Unfortunately that was not to be. The property management company realised we were trading from there and the sublease was fraudulent and ilegal. We made every effort to enter a new lease with the property owners. This was unsuccessful because they have decided to market the property on the open market to try to attract a chain or a brand as that would increase the covenant increasing the value of the property.
I wish the community had the power or influence to change the minds of the owners and allow us to continue to trade and serve the community.
It was a pleasure to know you for the time we did Alderley but it is with a heavy heart I bid you farewell
