First in this week’s series of folk and classical music evenings, our very own folk group will be kicking things off in the back bar from 8.30pm this Monday.

It’s a relaxed, informal session—come along, grab a drink and enjoy the music, or bring an instrument and join in!

🐾 A LITTLE PAW-BLIC NOTICE! 🐾

Tomorrow at 11.30am, we’re welcoming a Golden Retriever Club to The Bell as they stop off during their group walk for bacon sandwiches! 🥓🐶

We absolutely cannot wait to see a pub garden full of gorgeous wagging tails! 💛

We do appreciate that dogs aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, so this is just a friendly heads-up that there will be rather a lot of four-legged visitors joining us around that time.

Dog lovers—you’re in for a treat. Everyone else—you have been paw-litely warned! 😂🐾

🍺 TEMPORARY CHANGE TO OUR OPENING HOURS! 🍺

While our neighbours at The Red Lion take a little break for their refurbishment, we’re changing things up at The Bell Inn for a few weeks.

From Monday 7th September, we’ll be OPEN FROM 12 NOON EVERY DAY while The Red is closed. ❤️

So if you normally fancy a lunchtime pint, a catch-up with friends or just somewhere to sit and put the world to rights, come and see us at The Bell — we’ll have the doors open, the beer pouring and a warm welcome waiting. 🍻

We wish everyone at The Red all the best with their refurb. We can’t wait to see what they’ve done when they reopen!

Why have we painted a barrel? 🍺

Tonight we’re launching Hook Norton’s Lock Steady, and as part of the launch we were challenged to decorate a barrel by Hooky Brewery, along with the other Hooky Pubs. So obviously, we had to give it a proper Bell Inn makeover. 🌹🍻

I hand-painted ours and then added the perfect finishing touch… our little Rosie & Jim-style knitted versions of Michelle and Rhys. 😂❤️

So here it is — a little wonky, very homemade, full of character and completely The Bell Inn.

🍺 TWO BEERS. ONE BIG NIGHT AT THE BELL. 🍺

Tonight we’ve got something VERY special happening…

First up, we’re launching HOOKY LOCK STEADY — and there’s FREE BEER FROM 6PM! 🍻

At just 2.5%, Lock Steady is Hook Norton’s light, zesty and refreshing pale ale — lower in strength but absolutely not short on flavour. And it’s an award winner too. 👏

But that’s not all…

❤️ THE BIG O IS COMING BACK.

If you came to Hops in the Shire, you might remember this one — because Big O was the FIRST beer of the entire festival to SELL OUT.

And this beer means rather a lot to us.

Big O is Rhys’s beer, created in memory of his dad, who would have celebrated his 80th birthday this year. 🍺❤️

So seeing you lot absolutely demolish the first batch at the festival was pretty special.

You really can’t see from this clip just how many people were packed all the way up the garden… but WOW. What a night. 🖤🤍🎺

The SKAlectrics absolutely blew the roof off The Bell on Sunday — the garden was bouncing, people were dancing everywhere, and the atmosphere was just unreal.

Those are the nights that remind us exactly why we do what we do. A little village pub, a brilliant band, a packed garden and one huge party. 🔥

Thank you to everyone who came, danced, sang, drank, laughed and made it such an epic night — and of course a massive thank you to The SKAlectrics. You were incredible.

We’re still buzzing. 🎶🍻
