I am still here! 😉 been taking a wee break. Hubby was due home a day early this time, and had hoped to be back by Monday evening....but there was a terrible accident on the road, so they had to hang fire until the road was reopened....they left just after 11pm on Monday night, and he made it safely home at 3am! So as you can imagine, yesterday was a very chilled family day. We were all very glad to be safely back together, and we had a very happy wee boy when he woke up and realised Daddy was home 🥰

I also made some decisions over the weekend. I have found the last couple of months a bit overwhelming, and my anxiety has been a little harder to manage. I am used to this, and have twenty odd years of recognising my tells, and then putting things in place to get back on top of things. So the question I ask is what makes me feel most comfortable and happy for a while. This time the answer is staying closer to home....and less distance to travel. So I'm afraid I have pulled out of Plockton and Poolewe this month. I don't feel able to manage the longer days, the further distance, and the time away from my family. I will be at Torridon, and I will be at Lochcarron Highland Games.

I miss my husband when he's away. I feel overwhelmed since the stresses we had to deal with last month. And I am happiest at home, quietly creating and making with my family around me 😉 so more of that, and less of planning to be away days when he's actually at home. It was a great idea - he's home, I book my markets. But it works better when he's home every night when he's on shift too. And that isn't the case just now. I will make decisions on a monthly basis depending on what I feel able to do.
