The time is fast approaching for us to transition to our spring opening hours. The next 10 days is a little complicated as we transition so listen up. :).

Thursday 26th - CLOSED
Friday 27th - CLOSED
Saturday 28th - CLOSED.

Sunday 29th - OPEN
Monday 30th - OPEN.

Tuesday 31st - CLOSED
Wednesday 1st - CLOSED
Thursday 2nd - CLOSED

Friday 3rd - OPEN
Saturday 4th - OPEN
Sunday 5th - OPEN

Monday 6th - CLOSED

Then we'll head into April's schedule.

For the month of April we'll be opening 5 days a week with closed days being Saturday and Monday.

We're looking forward to those sunny days sipping coffees on the picnic tables. Hopefully we'll see you all there.

Things are beginning to feel like spring around here. Its warming up and the days are getting longer which means there's more time for eating cake. :).

The ladies in the cafe have been working tirelessly to keep things going, in what has been a winter far busier than we expected. And so, we'll have having a little break and a reset before the spring arrives.

Though we can't promise baked camembert for our opening tomorrow, we can guarantee a variety of delicious goodies perfect for a frosty day. Coffees, cakes and soups are sure to warm you up.

We're resuming our winter schedule and opening 10am-4pm Sunday through Wednesday And don't forget our little shop too.

Hopefully everyone is feeling festive with 5 sleeps till Christmas day.

We're having a little break at Fika for Christmas and new year. The cafe will be closed from the 21st of December until the 4th of January at which point we'll continue with normal winter opening hours (Sunday to Wednesday 10am-4pm).

THE SHOP.

Over the Christmas period the shop will be open on the 23rd of December, and the 28th of December from 10am till 1pm for folks to get their essentials.

Thanks again for all your support on our opening year and we're looking forward to seeing you all again in 2026. :).

19 sleeps till Christmas!

Hopefully everyone has made a start with their Christmas shopping and is feeling festive with Christmas just around the corner. If you've still got some shopping to do, the Kilchoan Christmas Market is on today at the .centre. With stalls from more than 20 vendors you're sure to find something for friends or family.

Fika is also open today along with the market and we'll have our usual delicious coffee, tasty cakes and some new warm festive savoury pies for you to try.

Hopefully we'll see you soon.

Good morning folks.

Just a wee reminder for everyone of our new opening hours and of course a shameless promotion of some of our latest cakes and traybakes. ;).

We're also running a rotating hot food menu all winter offering freshly made, homely lunches which will change from week to week.

And don't forget our autumnal syrups which make a great addition to a delicious cup of coffee in the morning. Pumpkin spiced? Chai? Hazelnut, caramel or vanilla? Which one are you having?

It's looking a lot like winter around here. The clocks have changed, the leaves have fallen and the days are getting shorter.

With winter just around the corner, we'll be changing to our off season schedule here at Fika.

Our opening hours going forward will be,

Sunday - 10AM-4PM
Monday - 10AM-4PM
Tuesday - 10AM-4PM
Wednesday - 10AM-4PM
Thursday - Closed
Friday - Closed
Saturday - Closed.

We'll also be having a brief closure from the 31st of October to the 8th of November for the team to recoup after the summer, to prepare for the winter season and to begin setting up the community shop.

Thank you all so much for supporting us through our opening summer and were looking forward to seeing you in the cafe over the coming weeks.

We'll be open usual hours tomorrow during the planned power cut in Kilchoan.

Most of our usual menu items will be available as well as all of our cakes and pastries. We'll have cafitiere coffees and loose leaf teas, tasty soups and toasted sandwiches. Not to mention a freshly made Victoria sponge. ;).

The producers market will also be on in the .centre

Hopefully we'll see you at the community centre for a candle lit lunch.
