This is exactly what community fundraising is all about. 🙌

Thanks to YOUR donations and YOUR continued support of our fundraising at the Rhoden, we’ve been able to once again support local grassroots football and Oswaldtwistle St. Mary’s FC. ⚽

This time, we’ve provided the team with brand-new Rhoden Inn sponsored tracksuits — keeping the kids looking smart, staying warm and proudly representing their local community wherever they go. 🖤

But there’s one detail that makes these extra special…

🌻 A sunflower “S” proudly sits on the back in memory of our dear friend Simone. 🌻

A little way of making sure Simone continues to be part of everything we do and every positive thing this community achieves together. ❤️

❤️💛 ANOTHER CARE PACKAGE HAS LANDED AT THE RHODEN! 💛❤️

A massive thank you to the wonderful team at Ronald McDonald House Charities for sending us another brilliant care package to help with our fundraising. 🙌

We’ve got brand-new T-shirts featuring their rebranded logo, along with more collection buckets and shakers ready to come out at our upcoming events! 🪣👏

We’re incredibly proud to continue supporting Ronald McDonald House Manchester and the amazing work they do keeping families close when their children are receiving hospital treatment.

Every shake of a bucket, every donation and every fundraiser adds up. Our community has already shown just how much can be achieved when everyone gets behind a cause — and we’re certainly not slowing down now! ❤️

💙 OUR ANDY’S MAN CLUB CARE PACKAGE HAS ARRIVED! 💙

Ahead of our upcoming Men’s Mental Health Awareness Night at The Rhoden Inn, our care package from Andy’s Man Club has arrived — packed with posters, beer mats, cards and information to help get one incredibly important message out there:

IT’S OKAY TO TALK.

More details about the night will be coming very soon, but in the meantime, have a look through the posters, grab a beer mat and take one of the cards — whether it’s for yourself, a mate, a brother, a dad, a son or someone you think might need it.

And remember…

🎯🏆 THE RHODEN LADIES HAVE ONLY GONE AND WON THE BLOODY LEAGUE! 🏆🎯

What an achievement from our Rhoden Inn Ladies Darts Team! ❤️

This season the ladies entered the Blackburn League for the first time and, as a brand-new entry, they had to start EVERY SINGLE GAME giving their opponents a 60-point head start! 😳

But did that stop them?

DID IT HELL! 😂🎯

Despite the handicap, our ladies battled their way through the season and have only gone and been crowned LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! 🏆🍾

An absolutely massive congratulations to every single one of you. We couldn’t be prouder to have you representing the Rhoden.

🚜🐦 RIGHT… WE NEED YOU TO SETTLE AN ARGUMENT! 😂

This all started because Josh — husband of our very own Kathryn — made the worrying discovery that their son Jesper might be growing up completely confused about what animals and machinery actually sound like. 🤣

Apparently, according to Josh, Kathryn has been teaching him some VERY questionable sound effects. 😂

So naturally, instead of behaving like mature adults, we decided there was only one sensible thing to do…

GET THE ENTIRE RHODEN TEAM INVOLVED. 🤦‍♂️😂

We asked the staff to send us voice notes of their best impressions of:

🚜 A TRACTOR
🐦 A MAGPIE

And the results are… concerning. 😭😂

Some sound surprisingly accurate.

Some sound like a tractor that desperately needs an MOT.

And some of the magpies sound like they’ve been smoking 40 a day since 1987. 🤣

💙 £408.84 RAISED IN MEMORY OF STELLA STEVE 💙

We’re really pleased to share that, between The Rhoden Inn and The Atlantic Inn in Porthleven, an amazing £408.84 was raised in memory of our much-loved Stella Steve, with the money going to support the RNLI – Lizard & District Branch. 🌊🛟

A massive thank you to every single person who donated, contributed and helped make this possible.

There were also further donations made using the QR/code on the back of Steve’s Order of Service, which went directly towards the wider RNLI — so the true amount raised in his memory is even greater. ❤️

Steve was such a huge part of the Rhoden family, and it means a lot to know that even after his passing, he’s still helping others and supporting a fantastic cause.

£408.84 raised, countless memories, and one Stella Steve who will never be forgotten. 🍺💙
