A little piece of Accrington history sits quietly on Adelaide Street.
Accrington Masonic Hall has been home to local Freemasonry since 1921, but the story goes back much further. Bank Terrace Lodge was consecrated in 1839 and originally met at the Hargreaves Arms — now known as Grants — right next door to the present hall.
For nearly two centuries, local men have met in Accrington in friendship, tradition and service. Different generations, different walks of life, but the same values at heart.
Today, the hall remains an active Masonic home and a part of the wider community through the Adelaide Suite.
Freemasonry is not something from the past. It is still here, still active, and still bringing good men together.
